Oh!! OK!!
Obviously I haven't been following the trial THAT closely......
Thanks for clarification. My Stacy Brown is definitely female.
-Aude.
while cleaning cupboards today, i had court tv on in the other room, listening to the commentary about the mj trial.. i was pretty surprised when they started talking about his going back to jehovah's witnesses and that he had taken his children to a kingdom hall in solvang (near where he lives) around easter time.
so it was for the memorial.
they said that since then, he has been attending pretty regularly with his kids, but that because he is disfellowshipped (and they had this information correct, saying he wrote a letter disassociating himself many years ago, but that he is technically disfellowshipped) no one will talk to him.. so, is he trying to make a comeback?

Stacy Brown?
MJ has a niece named Stacy Brown. Rebbie's daughter.
She would be in her 30's by now.
Could it have been the same person? Or just a coincidence??

well i can't recall now which public talks it was - one of my first - and it dealt with field service / preaching.
so i thought i would interview several people in the congregation about service and their thoughts and feelings on the subject, expecting something very different than what i got.
to my shock (i was an over zealous young buck who thought the sun rose and set on the wt) three sisters burst into tears as they told about their feelings of inadequacy and guilt over field service.
Mapleaf18: has anyone done a thread on "fudged" field service hours?

JW83: Why doesn't the WTS just put ads on tv?!!http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/61008/1.ashx Just a couple that I remember... -Aude.
the last straw for me was when an attendant grabbed 22 yr. old me at a cnvention and told me to come inside it was time for it to start.
i said no, and he got in my face.
anyone else get told what to do as an adult?
I was just a gullible sheep. I followed those signs (most of the time).
But OMG, Candidly - this was too funny!! I just started giggling here. Still!!
i had a cranky infant once and the only way to sooth him was to walk and walk and walk... an attendant fussed at me told me to take my seat and i HANDED him the baby and said " whew thanks my feet are killing me" and started walking off. lmao..he hurried up and caught me and gave me the baby back and laughed.
Thanks for the laughs!!
Anyone else have a story to contribute? C'mon There's GOT to more...!!

myrna, my beloved stepmom, was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year.
in typical fashion, she let us all know what was happening in her life, informed herself of the options, and calmly determined her course of treatment.
it was a very small lump, and it looks like all of it was removed.

So so sorry to hear of your loss. She was a special woman and I know she made the world better for her family and those that knew her.
*hugs*

ok, so here is the situation...... yesterday, i had bought a scratch ticket and i won 20.00 bucks on it...i was heading back to the store to cash it in but, not all of it...i wanted $17.00 in cash and in addition i wanted another ticket..as i was heading out the door, my brother asked to come with me to grab a few things at the store as well...this was not a problem....he got into the van and we headed off to the store...once we arrived to the store, i was still smoking my cigarette so i asked my brother to cash in my ticket for me and grab me another ticket and my $17.00 bucks while i wait in the car.
he said "sure, no problem"...at the same time, he asked me for a loan of $10.00 bucks.
i gave him the money with no questions asked.
You were more than generous. I bet most people would have been happy to share your joy and let you take us out for dinner, lunch or just a celebratory drink!
No way do his actions warrant 50% cut of the winnings.
I'm guessing you don't see the $10 you loaned him, either.
What a wild week you've had!! Shoulda cashed in that airline refund and hopped a plane to Vegas, Baby!!

So sorry to hear of your loss.
One of the managers at my work has been very ill for a few months and among other things was diagnosed with Blood Cancer. I was talking to one of my workmates about going to see him. Workmate said he really didn't want to and didn't know what to say, etc. That was so sad to me.
I went to see him and we had a nice 30 minutes together.
I'm glad for you and your friend that you put yourself out to go visit. It can mean the world to someone who is ill just to know that people still care and will still treat them like a lovable person.
I'm sure you will remember that laughter for decades to come, too.
Thanks again for sharing and reminding us not to take life or our friends for granted.
-Aude.
