  What's this thing about guys not wanting to neuter/spay their pets?

  according to yesterday's (may 1) article in parade magazine, one of the main causes of dogs biting is a male that's not neutered.

  we have a beautiful golden retriever that is about 10 months old.

  sometimes he's out of control and i want to neuter the dog but my husband has steadfastly refused.

  I have 2 indoor male cats.

  My mother gave me a hard time when I told her I was going to have them neutered.

  I felt it was 'responsible pet ownership'. She felt it was a waste of money.

  - Because male cats can't get pregnant.

  UGGHH!! Dubs.

  I think the same thing happens when people go out to dinner and the 'husband' picks up the tab.

  how many actually came here to defend the jw's and ended up leaving?

  Gumby: I have a question for those who said it was the WTS stance on child abuse policies that caused them doubts. If it wasn't the internet that you learned about it.........where did you learn it from?

  One of my employees - actually one of her friends who also worked for me. They were two teenage witness girls. One baptized and one not. The baptized one had molestation issues. She was forbidden to speak about any of it because the 'brother' (a very close relative) was a servant and it would damage his reputation in the congregation. This young woman said nothing, but her friend's mother told me plenty.

  That was a huge chip in the foundation of my trust in WTS. I thought it was just localized to this congregation and I was livid with indignation. When I learned how rampant child sexual abuse is, I was done with the religion.

  All religions, in fact.

  i was never allowed to play sports, because it would be too much association with worldly people.

  no skating, dance class, racquet ball, softball, nothing.

  in my kingdom hall, only the "spiritually weak" played sports.

  Nope. No sports in school. My parents even got me out of PE whenever they could.

  Last week at lunch, I went with some friends to a batting cage!!

  Never done anything like that!!! I had a great time and it cost $1.50.

  Insane real estate market

  it is unbelievable here in phoenix arizona.

  it is absolutely insane.. we listed our house at a little more than $100,000 above what we paid for it 4 years ago when we built it.

  20 minutes after it went online with mls we had a full price offer site unseen.

  Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties in California. Craziness.

  For a while (about a year or so ago) people would put their homes on the market with no asking price. Buyers would simply start making offers. Insanely high offers.

  My brother just bought a 1400 sq ft home for $615k. Little strip of grass in the back and smaller in the front.

  The good news is that if and when they sell this, they will be able to afford something real nice somewhere else.

  what excuse could anyone possibly have as to why they're not attending the 2 hours + of boring bullshit partaking of spiritual food this morning??

  as for me, i have a perfectly valid excuse: i'm doing laundry and baking banana bread this morning.

  what are you doing sunday morning instead of being told you're not doing enough in god's service?
