The Ministerial Training "School(??)" Scam

it is for single men only.

to get in, you have to be a hounder or an assistant (ministerial servant).

it is called the ministerial training school.. what exactly is this?

How do you manage to stay "under the radar"? This must be so difficult for you!

Can you tell us whether or not these "hounders" actually accomplish anything? In my opinion, the hounders actually contributed to my disillusionment and ultimate decision to leave.

Once the love-bombing stoped and the people beceme who they really are, all it took was a couple of hounders and hounder-hounders to turn me off. It's a revolving door and these hounders keep it spinning. But that's my experience. I'd like to know your take on it.

~ its okay , you dont know better, if you knew what i knew then you wouldnt (celebrate xmas) lol .. i told him i knew what he knew, and its irrelevant, havent gotten to the fact they can play with pinatas because they dont mean the same thing they used to.

common objections to celebrating Christmas

i wanted to post this research i did that helped convince my husband a few years back that it was o.k.

to celebrate christmas, despite the objections he was taught by the watchtower.

hopefully this will help others out there ease their conscience about this particular day.

Why is door to door the only preaching the "good news"?

i am sick and tired of this argument with witnesses.

every time i try to talk to anyone about anything jw related, this is the response, "but no one else is preaching the good news door to door...".

the jw version of the good news is nothing but amway or electrolux or kirby!.

I am sick and tired of this argument with witnesses. Every time I try to talk to anyone about anything JW related, this is the response, "But no one else is preaching the good news door to door..."

The JW version of the good news is nothing but Amway or Electrolux or Kirby!

What would be a good response to this statement? I'm not looking for an in your face type of response but rather a type of response to get a good cognitive conversation going.

Glad she's opening her eyes. Just advising caution becaus she sounds like a sweet lady but very naive to think she can just go up to the CO and ask all these questions. Most JWs would know they couldn't just do that. I mean, deep down, even I knew I couldn't just walk up to the CO with my doubts and start asking questions about the blood issue, ya know what I mean? And I was only a JW for little over 4 years.

This woman seems a little too *pure* for lack of a better word. It's almost as if she's been sheltered. Of course, you're the one who knows her. This is just an impression I'm getting from what you're describing.

In the end, of course it's much better if she opens her eyes and the way you are doing it -- the process -- is ingenious and articulate. I wish I thought so quickly on my feet.

Does she have family still in? If not, good for her. If she does, please prepare her. They will likely shun her. And as kind as you are, you will not likely be able to replace them.

My husband tried to bring it up to his mom too and she brushed it off.

The thing is that with this sister, if she's not careful, she might end up disfellowshipped. I hope she's ready for the fall-out.
