my daughters were shoved to the side of the road by a cop who didn't bother to check over his shoulder before moving into the right lane they were driving on.

they slammed on the breaks and heard a loud thump.

they tried to put the car into reverse and it will not move into reverse.

Double Mastectomy and a punctured vein???

a close friend of ours who is a jw recently found out she had to have a double mastectomy and removal of lymph nodes due to cancer.

she and her husband do not have medical insurance because he was laid off a few years ago from his union job.

he started his own business but work has been slow.... anyway, having a pre-existing condition, the only insurance he could get her was through kaiser.

Need to vent/ask opnion/advice on new renter in my house

okay, so my girls all moved out and we had three empty rooms and a lot of bills to pay.

so we decided to rent the upstairs room with its own bath.

we also have a three car garage and the single car garage is fully drywalled, has its own entrance and is huge.

i am not quite sure of wedding protocols.

i mean since i am from costa rica and the weddings and parties are pretty much easy going in our culture i have always thought american wedding protocols were dumb.

the whole idea that the bride's family pays for the entire thing is unfair.

very nice brother came by who comes about every 6 months or so.

i really like this guy and knew ahead of time that the next time he came over i was going to be friendly to him.

he came by during a storm and was obviously cold.

so my husband rarely talks to his sister and never talks to his mom.

his sister, brother in law and mom will have nothing to do with me because 10 years ago when i left the jws they heard rummors (gossip) that i was apostate.. husband is totally apostate too by their standards but they ignore what they don't want to see.

he celebrates all the holidays, goes to church, celebrates birthdays and bad mouths the wts all the time.. well sister in law calls this morning and he is on the phone with her for one hour.

Has anyone ever heard about a child abuse scandal in San Bernardino area involving several elders?

but i've been away from these boards for a long time since i thought it was shutting down i weaned myself off and never knew it didn't shut down lol.. anyway, i would like to know about this scandal if anyone has any info on it..
