  CO sheparding call today!!

  thats right, the co along with one of the local elders paid an unexpected visit to my wife and i this morning.

  i was just busting at the seam to bring up the un fiasco but i refrained as they do not know i have made my journey to the darkside.

  my wife just glared with the "looks that kill" as they spewed the usual "time is near better not persue a career" line and i should be providing "spiritually" for the family.

  Mole, next time when they say something idiotic like that, try asking them: "So are you saying that if I go to the 'special talk' I will FOR SURE have a GUARANTEE of everlasting life?"

  Of course their answer will be "NO"

  So you will be able to say, "Then if I DON'T go to the Sunday talk there is also NO GUARANTEE I will not have everlasting life. I'm too busy to go. Sorry you have to leave so soon.... Door slams."

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  THIS IS AWESOME! This really is exactly what I prayed for. I am so glad I told my sister to do the research on the UN for me. It is fresh in her mind. She is disgusted with the UN as the "Wild Beast" Then suddenly she will get this article from the newspaper with the UN letter signed by the DPI chief. I am so excited. Who knows how many slaves will be freed by all yours, Hawk's and too many to name's work.

  jehovahs witnesses are very intolerant, i say this because of my personal experience.. for an example, they are very intolerant of anybody saying they are not gods channel, or that they have hypocritical teachings that are false.

  they will disfellowship you if you dont recant!.

  D: This was a very insightful post. I never thought of it that way but you are absolutely right. To the JW - the Watchtower is God Almighty.

  Being that the word "Jehovah" is a mistake and doesn't even represent God, this makes sense. Really Jehovah = Watchtower.

  Thanks for your advice and encouragement. I guess I should explain a little bit.

  My sister WILL NOT VISIT WITH ME. She is courteous to me in front of family members FOR THEIR SAKE so as not to *stumble* them. So e-mail was my only option.

  Secondly, she will not give me 30 seconds of her time if I want to discuss anything *spiritual* related. She views me as an apostate of the worst kind.

  The only hope I had and the only window was to 1) ask her to do the research on the United Nations FOR ME because I NEEDED IT. This gave her some kind of hope that I was at least interested in something written by the FDS; and 2) I sent the e-mail so that when and if any news comes out regarding the United Nations she will have JUST FINISHED doing the research on HOW THE WTS FEELS ABOUT THE UN.

  I am hoping and praying that a press release is issued, that the media gets a hold of it, that a good article comes out in a good paper(I frankly think the Guardian article sucked). Then it will at least cause her to THINK for herself.

  Moxy, you're right. She might think to herself, "My sister KNEW something was up and so she set me up." But what the heck! She will also have to think, "I read the WTS saying this and this re the UN and now they are disassociating themselves from it?" She will probably do the PUSH PUSH BACK BACK with the thoughts. But enough of these thoughts might do some good down the line.

  My sister is a gonner. She is so deep. She broke up with her fiance because the elders advised her to if she wanted to get baptized. It's been four years. She is still in love with him. And he is with her. She is waiting for him to come into the "truth" and he is waiting for her to come out.

  This is a sad situation and calls for desperate measures. See I am the one who sucked her in with me seven years ago. And I can't go on with my own life until I get her out.

  So my e-mail was probably not the most accurate. And it probably was "theocratic war strategy" but it was done with love. I miss my sister.

  MAJOR UN/WTS/NGO NEWS - WTS IS GONE

  as of 11:45 this morning (i had a telphone call this morning with the refernce department person named holly at 212-963-7234), i can tell you that the watchtower has disassociated itself from the united nations dpi!!!!!!.

  the dpi is now taking them off the list.

  the dpi requested the list removal to be done this morning!!!!!.

  Hawk, my sentiments exactly! They were FORCED to disassociate. What a way to learn a lesson. And they will eat it from now on with the world governments. This is GREAT news if you look at it that way. Now THERE IS NO DOUBT that they ARE A CULT in the eyes of the world. NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. And you're right. Some heads WILL ROLL and we will sit and laugh about it.

  Don't get depressed guys. It's definitely not over yet!

  i sent an email to my sis (jw) about the watchtower affair with the un, quoting the criteria and all that, thinking that she would be open-minded about the whole thing... obviously, i was wrong.

  Not trying to preach to the choir or anything but I agree with Hawk's statement: "You have to ask questions first. Get a handle on what she would think is important or not. Stay non-confrontatial etc."

  Hopefully my approach to my sis will get me a little farther. You can read it in my post. Sorry, don't know how to put in those url's.

  I'll keep you posted as well. Maybe my approach will suck. We shall see.
