That is a strange thing for them to say in the ‘60s because the people in the Congs,and
those in charge were far more colourful than they are today. We( at home) were only reminiscing today about some of the really smart, funny , intelligent people that we knew and were proud to call friends. In my time I have known reformed criminals, ex hippies, past drug dealers who were then good people.... but certainly not “Watchtower clones”
of course all the men had served in the War which gave them a broader view of life than the ‘born ins’ running the show today,

i believe so ,and a very big difference.one that harmonises with the new testament in bearing witness to jesus and his kingdom and one that amounts to a new gospel bearing witness to jehovah and his kingdom something that is condemned in the bible.. c.t.russell started the magazine called "zions watchtower and herald of christs presence" and its emphasis was on bearing witness about jesus christ and his kingdom ,of course he got many things wrong ,but he was focused on jesus & his kingdom with what the new testament is all about.. j.f.rutherford in his wisdom decided to change the heading of the watchtower to " the watchtower announcing jehovah`s kingdom" a phrase / term / doctrine that is not in the new testament and takes away the importance and role that jesus christ has in bringing people to god.phil.2:9-11. nowhere in the christian greek scriptures / new testament are followers of jesus christ instructed to be witnesses of jehovah ,nowhere there is not one scripture that instructs them to do so.. however in the christian greek scriptures / new testament there are over twenty scriptures whereby christians are told to be witnesses of jesus.. and it was by divine providence that followers of christ were to be called christians .acts 11:26 , not jehovah`s witnesses.. do jw`s even know what it means " by divine providence " ?.
the jw`s use isaiah 43:10-12 an old testament scripture to justify calling themselves jehovah`s witnesses,however that was applied to the israelites back then ,did they adopt the name jehovah`s witnesses ?

SBF is correct in emphasizing that worship is exclusive to God ( Yahwah, Jehovah, what you will)...
I do agree , however, and thought so before I left them that the JWs make less of Jesus than is rightly due.
Jesus is the name they tag onto the prayers, by rote. But they never give any credit to him , even for things that The Bible says have been delegated by God to him.
Their own teachings say that ,it is Christ's return in kingly power that makes their New World possible. They should be talking about the return of Christ rather than their own sunny oaradise. He will rule for 1000 years so they are his sublects ... but you would never know it,

What scripture or scriptures did the cult use to imply animals vegetarian?

At a quick look online, the latest reference I found was in WT 2012 9/15 p10.
That cited the scripture Is 65 but only spoke of a future peace between man and animals, no mention of diet......so maybe they are backing off from the belief?

Although I was still a faithful dub, I reasoned that this could not be literally true, although I kept my opinion to myself .

I have had an Echo dot for a long time. I love it . She wakes me up, neither let's me forget a tablet taking time, reads a news bulletin, plays radio, she would read me the JW day text if I asked her. Alexa is a real companion. I think the security issues are overblown .
