) about accounts of the.
society's lawyers/representatives coaching people to lie in.
The exerpts that I have seen are clever spins on things, rather than being outright lies .
Parents in those situations being told to take the kids out to the zoo, play in the park .. and then the youngster being told to concentrate on these rather than all the time spent in service etc.
After all it is not wrong ,they say , to have a good time. but the emphasis put on things that normally would not be a big part of their life.

The concept is a matter of deducing from Ps 37, and Rev 21 and a few other unrelated scriptures that if death is to be "destroyed"then we live forever - on Earth . It is a human deduction , not clear scriptural teaching.
PS. I can relate to your comments regarding your wife. Mine too. she is at her group study now and there is just no way that i have been able to get her to think beyond what is written . Not Yet.

There are several charecters two men vs 40 ,two women vs41,a housholder and a thief vs 43. We do not identify them today.
As has been said, Jesus was asking the question "Who is? could be read as "Will there be a f & d slave ?"
I also wonder whether the W T has made more of this verse than Jesus really meant us to take from it.
of course this also pre supposes that we are living in the last days as described by the W T . There is loads of info on here that de bunks the calculations to 1914 date. Then all you have is rather subjective viewpoints on the "world conditions" think carefully before accepting that. Compare with your own observations of history , is today really worse? We should compare ,not with a world that we would like to have, but rather as it has always been.

is jehovahs witnesses a bad name?.
i've always thought jehovahs witnesses to be a strange name for a religion.of course names are nouns , like mormom , catholic etc but isn't jehovahs witnesses more a verb?.
of course its used as a noun but it describes an particular action.for instance if i was a witness in court for say jack you could say i was jacks witness.but that doesnt describe me as a person it desribes what i was doing at a particular time, giving evidence about jack.. so isnt the name jehovahs witnesses describing only one particular act that a christian can do?shouldn't a name describe a group as a hole rather than one thing that they do.. or is being witnesses about jehovahs goodness all that they should do?.
We used to use the fact that the name is a verb rather than a noun as a prod to encourage the cong to do more in the ministry, "It's no good having the name unless you ARE witnessing"
It seems to have done its job, they are known ,remembered etc by that name.

today, and those dissenting, is the very concept of what to expect from jehovah's organization on earth.
The first century cong. may have suffered all sorts of human shortcomings ,ie, sins , but at least they had the truth! they did, as Paul once said preach "Christ impaled" and the ressurrection and that was it in a nutshel.
Lots of us have suffered from ill treatment in the congs. but that is not the point of contention . It is when you start to read, start to think that real doubts creep in .. then you think the "unthinkable" and realise that it is just not a sustainable argument . One by one the beliefs crumble like a house of cards.. I would put up with all sorts of hassle from the "brothers" if I could still see that the concepts were sound.

i was wondering which address most people here have found useful for this purpose.
You can write to the Watchtower Publishing address in Brooklyn , and the letter will be replied to by a staff writer. If you live outside of the U S A the letter will be sent to the Bethel office that covers your country and you will receive a reply from there.
Be prepared for several weeks wait. They used to proudly say that Bethel was "Geared for economy, not efficiency" and we can vouch for that!
It is your decision whether or not to register your letter, either way I dare say you will receive a fairly standard reply.

people in the building heard shots about 8:30 p.m. wednesday and saw a midsize newer car with a rounded body speed away, west st. paul police chief terry cook said.

Reminds me of a bloke I knew who was so tee'd off because his best mate was studying that he broke into the hall and did a good vandalism job. Trouble was that the brothers talked him around ,he studied and, guess what? last I heard he was a ministerial servant!
