  Weather!

  it is so blazing hot here in houston!

  it's almost 10:00 pm and the ac is still running, and i've got the thermostat set at 80. .

  what kind of weather are you dealing with where you live this fine july?.

  not sure if "joe" will be reading this, or not, but, i just want to welcome him to jwd.

  i have been a part of jwd since 2001, i think...........lol........i thank simon that there are such forums, as his, for those whole leave the wts.

  anyways, maybe "joe" and his wife will be lurkers for awhile, and maybe they will never post, but, for the record, they are victims of the wts as most of us are, here.

  Men's hair getting longer?

  when i was a youngster, many guys had long hair, then a few years later it got short, very short.

  now i've noticed that hair for guys is longer again.. this spring, i saw boys go to school, walking in front of here, and many had very long hair.. .

  just a few minutes ago, i watch the news on tv, and the man in his late 30's had very long hair....lol.

  ummm....well, my hubby isn`t known to be of the *norm`* type of people! He`s a musician, a frontman for a rock band and most of these guys have long hair, or completely shaved.

  what has come back to me and what i have realized through this website is that my mother was probably mentally very sick with this religion for most of her life.. it was a sickening obsession to obey, tattle, feel extreme guilt, turn in family members, and never, ever measure up no matter what she did.

  endless months of pioneering, meeting attendance and studying for meetings were not enough .....ever....she is now 73 years old and still trying to pioneer in the exhausting heat of florida.

  in her full time pioneering days she came down with breast cancer.

  Roo & Lisa`s comments seem to mirror alot of us here! Including me!! Grrrrrrr! My *mom* was a step-mom and she was the reason our family got dragged into this life & mind altering cult! and when I no longer measured up I was no longer wanted around her house!

  still laughing about this one.

  last year at the dc, the brother during the announcements asked the sisters to us the bathroom facilities faster because someone else is waiting to use it and please limit your use of toilet paper.. never though i would see the day when they would tell you how to pee!

  Being a parent and learning to let go

  this summer we are relaxing doing whatever we want .

  ahhh the perils of *motherhood*! Mine`s only 15, I have to get over the "fear of him driving" before I face anything else yet!! But it is the grandest thing I`ve done yet in my life ( well one of them!)

  yes i am quitting the forum ,,, i cant keep up with you all.

  i cant remember whos who, so very happy that we have many many new ones,,,, .

  let me tell you i love you all ...i have been so respected by you all & shown much unconditional love..... i know many have my home e-mail..... so if any want to - they know what to do.. i have been on here a long time.... gus,gus ( my wonderful daughter still posts on occasions.

  Congrats.! that`s a big step I was nervous and had some sort of guilt?! (if you can believe that) when I used mine in my first ever Presidental election. Stupid JW religion

  I was a teenager when they were just starting to sell, I was a rebellious young JW and listened to them and Blue Oyster Cult! My parents would have freaked if they had known!

  and I`m not sure but I think the LSD only made his already mental & emotional problems over the brink from what I`ve heard, (could be wrong).
