That`s wonderful that he still remembers you, it`s a beautiful thing that you have time to see them both right now. I`m sure your Mom will appreciate the help. Treasure these moments. I wish you the best.

I`m truly heartbroken for you and your family right now, and I`m trying to type through tears!! My "kittyboy" just turned 18, and went blind in one eye last year, so we are keeping a very close eye on him. He is truly a big part of our family and has been with me since his beginning, ( I watched him being born). Please believe you did the right thing. You`ll be in my thoughts today
To kitty, may he (she) rest in peace.

Where is their Love?
by Sadie5 ina couple of days ago i ran into a jw at my job at walmart.
she is a single lady around 50 years old and she looked terrible.
i asked how she was,(she always talks to me) and she related how she had lost her job and had to work two low paying jobs.

It doesn`t help the matter that she lives a few hundred miles from us, her in Va. and us here in Fla., she is a stepmom ( but the only mom I knew) and she comes here once in awhile to visit her fleshnblood daughter (my half sister). She has met them, but since their father and I are not JW`s and we don`t allow her to preach to us, she doesn`t have alot of time to give when she`s here unless she counts it for her service time. Since my father passed away so much as happened between us, it`s really sad that we just don`t call or write. Her choice as well. Yes I was Df`d. over 25 years ago. But now she barely even writes her own daughter, she feels the end is near and she just can`t put her worries or time into us that don`t want to be preached to by her. She`s pretty much just written us off that we are gonna die.

Living On the Edge of Uncertainty.
by Blueblades inthere is, for many of us, a moment in life when we make a choice that changes us forever.
this moment marks a turning point, a threshold of sorts, when we realize that the life we are living is not a reflection of who we really are.. many, including myself, are living on the edge of uncertainty.
frightening world events, overwhelming amounts of information, even here on the forum, has cause a transformation that changes us as we shift our beliefs from what we once believed was unshakeable.. i now realize that living the life of one of jehovah's witnesses was and is not a reflection of who i really am.once having been secure in the great issues of life as a jw, i now find myself living on the edge of uncertainty when it comes to the great issues of life.

What I never saw, or was "awake" to see while a JW was all the negativity this religion creates and fears of not wanting to be doomed to die. But isn`t the lesson we are suppose to be learning while we are here is to live life, enjoy it, and appreciate what we have and can do??? I have met more Christians on the outside than I ever did while a member of the "borg". JW`s are a bunch of rude, self-serving snobs.
Of course this is just my opinion from what I grew up with.

I truly believe Jesus would be appalled if he were alive today, and saw the"brotherly love" that is NOT shown with these so to speak Christians. As we know here, Jesus was all about love and forgiveness and helping one`s fellow man. I went through 2 pregnancies without my JW mom calling to see how I was or when the babie were born. Her loss, but I`ve had the job of explaining to my kids why they don`t see one of their granmothers.
