Out of Curiosity...Does Anyone Believe Anything They WereTaught??
by confuzzed ini think the question speaks for itself?
while there is much we don't believe, there are some things we can't ignore.
anyone agree???

thanks under74
i am only seeking to find some people who know what i am going through. i understand people can be a little cynical and bitter through time but they were all right where i am now once. if i can find people who may have been thinking the same way once as i am now then maybe i can figure out how to deal with all this
thanks again

Not in the truth, but haunted by it...
by confuzzed ini am having trouble dealing with this little voice in the back of my head telling me that if i don't go back to meetings i won't go to the new system and everything i am doing is wrong blah blah blah.
although i have agreed to a study i believe it is more to shut up this little voice rather than because i want to be a witness again.
but if i don't go back i have to deal with this horrible feeling all the time.

hi again
i am 25 years old and was in the 'truth' until i was 19. i left because of issues with elders and so called loving brothers and sisters. for the years leading up until now i busied myself with everything i was not supposed to do only to find myself in a lot of trouble. i still keep busy running my own business and looking after my husband and that's when these little 'voices' started coming back again. i find it hard to ignore these teachings although every little part of me wants to.
but i do believe it is true that considering i was brought up in the truth it is hard for me to accept that it is all wrong even though i want to just to get a minutes peace

'i don't mean to be rude':
maybe you don't want to hear what mulan said but he/she (soory i couldn't remember if you were male or female mulan) was also just answering my question. i don't feel the need to talk about wether or not jesus is the son of god as i believe he is so if that is what anyone wants to talk about then maybe that should be a new topic of discussion. i need help not people being rude to each other...i can get that at the meetings

i must admit that it seems as though i was being a little attacked for my question. i asked this question only to seek some help in this confused state i am in. i do not believe that the witnesses hold the corner stone on morality it's just the only place i learnt it and in many cases seen it since i left the truth. thank you though for most of the comments. i definitely have a lot to think about

What would be the hardest thing to give up if returning the the 'truth'?
by confuzzed infor me it would be smoking, drinking, certain movies/tv shows and my favourite music (which includes eminem :p)

one of my biggest problems is the lack of love in the congregations also. my mum keeps saying that i should be in the truth for jehovah not the people in the congregations who are not so loving and 'imperfect' hard to swallow though

i guess i am asking because i have recently accepted a study again with the witnesses. many things i didn't believe before, i believe now and am wondering wether it is because it has been so many years since i left the truth or if it's because i'm just wanting to believe there is something better out there. more things make sense now than they did when i was growing up and it has me in kind of a pickle :)
