Yeah I loved this guys little jangle about how God plans on "landing Jehovah's Witnesses in hell" because they are mislead. That's some loving Christianity goin on up in there.. lol. Listening to this stuff just depressed the hell out of me.

Hey Johnny, sorry about sounding judgemental on my inital post and stuff. It was reactionary. I was just thinking about my dad when I read it and how he's a really quite mild kind of a witness person.. and I didn't like the idea of somebody yelling in his face or whatever.
Now that I've been thinking about it more I realize you do have a right to take an in-your-face kinda approach. It's a horrible, dangerous cult, I know it.
Anyways you are the good guy, and you got guts.

Do JWs ever use their donations/WT profits to help the less-fortunate?
by sonnyboy ini was a jw for a number of years as a kid, but i don't remember them doing anything to help the community.
many churches in my area have soup kitchens, clothing/toy drives, and other services to help people in need.
do jehovah's witnesses ever use proceeds in this way, or are they all used to make more watchtowers, books, and kingdom halls?

I was in field service once with an elder, and we saw a homeless person begging for change outside of a supermarket. The elder said to me, "Doesn't it make you sick how some people live like animals?" I was just like, " Most homeless people are schizophrenic or clinically depressed, you know." He just pompously changed the topic when I called him on it. I never felt like a good person associating with JW's.

My Mother died...

june 4, 2004. they say these things take time and that recovery gets easier as time goes on, and i suppose that's true.

johnny I agree with everything you said (obviously), but I'm sure you know the J dub mindset. Do you really think going off like that is effective? I'm only concerned about helping people out of the Watchtower. Reactions like that from guys like us freak dubs right [edit] out. They generalize all ex-witnesses as frothing at the mouth demon possesed people.
