  We also have had a very hard time making new friends because we still believe many of the Bible based precepts that the witness org., teaches.

  I think this is your problem right there. When I left the Shitnoids I became a bouncer at a club, began smoking pot and experimenting with various other drugs, and had about as much sex as I could convince random woman to have with me. It helped flush all of those morals and other useless Bible trash out of my brain for good. Maybe it can work for you, too.

  My first thought was that these parents were probably not told about his history. Maybe this will open the families eyes when they find out that the elders were aware of it and chose not to tell them.

  Or maybe they just thought he had "put on the new personality". Maybe they thought Jehoba had "made his mind over".

  WITNESSES REACTION TO FACING DEATH......

  i went to see someone in my old hall last night, who's recently been diagnosed with cancer.

  she's only in her late 40s, healthy, so this was a shock when i found out about it the other night.

  apparently it's gone in to her liver and her doctor has not given her any hope of surviving it, although they're going for a second opinion, as the doctors in our area are notoriously incompetent.. even though i stopped going to the meeting 2 years ago, i thought going to see her was the human thing to do, since she studied with me when i was 15 years old and i thought it would maybe be comforting for her to talk to someone else who had had cancer.

  An ex-girlfriend of mine's father died some years back. He was an atheist. She said he died peacefully. That's the way I want to go.

  when i first left the witnesses 15 years ago, i still believed in the jw god, jehovah, as the real and only "true" god and that all the others were not real.

  they were real in that people worshipped them and as a distraction from "true worship", but to me, they were simply imaginary entities.. no other gods actually existed.

  there was jehovah, satan, and the angels and demons.

  If I needed to believe in God than I guess I wouldn't be an atheist.

  I find it kinda sad that some people need to believe in something that they don't even know exists for sure. I suppose I'm lucky that I don't.

  he had only 5 years in the org, so the discussion didn't go too well for him.

  i told him i had already seen the tract - a friend showed it to me.

  I had to laugh when I read that you called the Witnesses "parasites" and this guy just stood there with a big smile on his face.

  I once met up with JWD poster Satanus and he related to me an old field service experience. Him and another guy were door knocking and the person at the door told him that he had been railing a few JW girls or something like that, and neither Satanus or the other guy even flinched at the thought that this was a huge insult to their religion.

  There must be some strange dissociative cult psychology to enjoy being verbally spit in the face.

  How does a person tell between their thoughts and if God is communicating?

  i asked my jw mom today...."how do you know if your thoughts are your or god communicating to you?.

  the official jw explanation she refered me to is....."you just know"...... .

  would anyone risk their lives, obey, and slave for someone because "they just know"?.

  I'm pretty fortunate to have a couple of old friends who are ex-jw's. As old friends they would pretty much have to be since I grew up in the 'noids. I don't really miss any of my old ex-friends because I've found worldlings to be so much more relaxed. I can finally be me around people.
