  my mother recently told me that the congregation was scolded by their district sales manager....errr circuit overseer for poor meeting attendance.

  it seems that at times attendance would sink as low as 60%.

  she didn't respond when i said that maybe there was something good on television that night.

  Should I "picket" the JW assembly with my "apostate" friends or not?

  every year since i da'ed myself i have two good friends that are ex-jws that beg me to come and "picket'' the jw assemblies with them.

  i have turn them down every year but i kind of think i want to do it because my reasoning is that if i picket i will finally be telling jw's and the wts that i am not afraid of them.

  i didn't realize how much "fear" the wts puts into its members until the other day when i ran into my jw sister at the supermarket and she literally left her 1/2 full shopping cart and ran out of the store without speaking to me.

  I think you are better off doing nothing and letting the people who have doubts come to you via the internet. That whole apostate concept gets witnesses all hot and bothered and stirred up to continue on in the lie.

  My dad told me that in his congregation the circuit overseer flipped his lid on the last visit because they did not have ONE pioneer. Its a moderate to large sized hall too.

  i just dont get how people can stay in a religion that constantly changes the "truth".

  never mind the scandals, that is a seperate issue.

  but the foundation of a religion is its doctrine, how can you believe an organiztion that constantly changes it.
