Pretty sure I know who "Brother N" is and while I'll say he was a competent individual, he was also a jerk. He did know how to conduct himself around the heavy hitters which is probably what got him through this whole deal. I'll also say that the traits breed true.

We are we almost all black now? Especially CO's.
by coaster infor the past couple of years at my district conventions, i have been unable to actually listen to most of it, so my mind is in many places.
one such place was to count people in several of the other sections as to blacks and whites.
section 132..42 white and 137 black, section 133..36 white and 144 black, and so on.

I'll try to dig the numbers out but I know that a number of years ago the percentage of blacks in the Organization was greater than in the US population as a whole. That's a trend that has increased since then and in some areas it is very noticeable.

Even the Labor party finally decided Tony Benn was an idiot. Michael Moore defines the word buffoon.

I'm a real omnivore when it comes to books but the following list is five that impacted me the most:
Up From Slavery - Booker T Washington
There are no excuses.
The Devil Drives: A Life of Sir Richard Burton – Fawn Brodie
What I wanted to be.
Advise and Consent – Allen Drury
The beginning of political understanding.
Basic Economics: A Citizens Guide to the Economy – Thomas Sowell
How things really work
A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14 th Century – Barbara Tuchman
People only 'think' things were bad in the 20th Century and now in the 21st..

I used to sit on appeal committees and should they uphold the DF you have a further right of appeal to the Organization (Service Desk) by letter within 7 days of their action. It is not unheard of for disfellowshipping actions to be overturned when no actionable offense actually took place. The "circumstantial" part of their statement refers to the allegation that you spent the night. That allegation is in large part trumped by your son's testimony. Personally I wouldn't delay, I would tell them I'd like to meet as soon as possible and continue to hammer home the point that you didn't do anything and that you have a witness to prove it. If you could come up with another witness that would be even better.

For those who hunt (?)
by sinis inwas wondering if i should cann my idea or move forward.
anyway, the state i live in is having a herd management year and is offering a ton of elk permits (i put in a few months ago during the regular draw and was skunked).
here is the catch - the area is literally in no mans land.
-
Fangorn
A field dressed Elk is going to run 350-600 lbs. so you really don't want to tackle that with a small car when you've got all your gear as well. The trailer idea is not bad but a truck is probably better.

1. Full table service at a restaurant? 15 - 25% 2. Counter service at a restaurant? 15% 3. The pizza (or other) delivery guy? Couple bucks 4. Furniture delivery, unpacking and placement? Zero 5. Barber? 66% 6. Any other situation I didn't think of: Garden Shop Help - Couple Bucks, Taxi 10%, Luggage Handler 1.50 per bag, Hotel Maid - Couple Bucks per day. I understand that at the District Convention this year they recommended 20% even if that's more than you usually tip because you are representing the Organization.

No, he used to be a Missionary, then he came back to the States and worked for a while, raised a kid, Pioneered, then went into the traveling works. I think one thing that makes him different is that he has actual real world experiences instead of spending his whole life in a hot house environment. Plus he's just a nice guy.
