They may not profess anything at their meetings any more but I can guarantee you that the JW members do indeed take it upon themselves to react and act just the same as one who was baptised, who leave or sin in the congregations. Do not be fooled by a few published words as they are known to lie to their followers anyway. Just look at their bible for instance it is packed full of lies. I was an unbaptised publisher and I just left. You all would not believe what took place afterwards against me. It was as evil as evil comes and pathetic.

CO's talk: "Those who leave the truth say they've never been happier"
by truthseeker inyep, it's true.
while giving his usual spiel about how true christians should struggle, he says that some of those who have left the truth, say they never felt better.. .
the answer: "they don't have to stuggle anymore.".

"I have to ask" Has anyone ever really known a happy witness ? I haven't infact it seems that they are always complaining about something. Could it be that they have had their freedoms taken away by the borg ? Witnesses I have met even hate other people and they talk down about their brothers and sisters all the time. A very unhappy bunch of people.....

Who left the JW's after getting on the internet?
by toladest invitta's thread above got me wondering.
how many here still believed the "witnesses" to have the truth until they came to sites like this?
how many actually came here to defend the jw's and ended up leaving?

Terry,
How can you make a judgement on this book when you have not even read the Book ? I am reading the book "The purpose Driven Life" right now (on chapter 10) It is completley backed by scripture and is a very informational book for those who ask themselves "why am I here" and" what is my purpose here in this life"I personally think it is a book that all people should read and especially before I would call it crap. Just my opinion.

Were you criticized for being outspoken & lacking tact?
by LongHairGal ini seemed to have a problem with the people there because i am outspoken.
(and this was all before i had any clues to how bad the whole thing was.
) i am just an outspoken person in general and my family (not dubs) are also outspoken.

It was my out spokeness that got me into trouble with the JW's and my JW mother. You are exactly right about this. Jw's do not like people who speak up and tact ? yeah I guess I could learn how to use tact a little better, but I am one person who when has something to say even if it hurts I say it. That just drives a JW nuts.

calling all young single men
by devinsmom inwew, well my divorce is finally...final, as of today and what a long hard road it has been, and unfortunatly more hardships are to come, since we have a child together.
my ex tried to delay it just yesterday by faxing a sloppy handwritten note to the judge, to tell him he couldnt make it because he doesnt have a license,(suspended for dwi) and hasnt attended any of the hearings at all.
he owes me over $5,000 for child support (deadbeat dad).

Let me get to the point right away, You will not even make it half way through the book and you will be ready to quit. I was astounded when I read the book, and it dead set my mind that the Jw's were full of falicies. Good Luck...

The Pope is NOT the voice of God on Earth
by Survive1999 ini have always been a little bit puzzled by jws loudly proclaiming that the pope is not the "voice of god on earth", and turning around and vernerating the watchtower as "the voice of god on earth.".
i have repeatedly told jws to apply the same standard you do against the pope to the watchtower and you will be more than a bit dissapointed.
the best answer i could ever get was, "well that's different".. can any exjws explain this?

To tell all you good folks out there is : I really don't know who is worse. The impression I get is that the catholic people consider the pope to be a God. They call him Holy Father, I always thought that there was only one Holy Father and he is the creator not a pope ! The scriptures say "All men come short of the glory of God" It sure as heck does not say " Except for the pope"
On the other hand the witnesses are liars, vidictive, hateful of others. It shocks me how many people are influenced by others, especially in religions instead of seeking out the scriptures to find the truth.
