You know how to tell the difference from a cult and a christian ? Either of the two mormons and JW's can really prove their beginnings and a christians alway relies on the bible and faith nothing more. Cult members do not rely on faith but on what their leaders say instead of Gods spirit doing the leading.

I think the noose just tightened a bit.
by 5go inwe had an interesting local needs.. first it clearly stated if you are not making all the meetings you will not make it in to the new system period no exceptions.
they twisted the story of the red sea to make an example.
saying you can not disobey once, or else you be left stuck in the bottom of the red sea.. from now on the elders will be making shepherding calls on those that are not attending regularly.. also, it was stated that if you know of any not attending regularly.

It's funny how they are so opposite of the fruits of the spirit mentioned in the scriptures. I have never seen any fruits of the spirit used by any member ever and I always thought that was odd.

I was in that age bracket in that time period. Man am I gettin old LOL but my mother was the one who joined in 75 and I was not living with here. I was raised by my father and not my mother, sometimes I thank God for that as I would of have been a jahoober then to if I was with my mom. They are still in and I stay as far away as possible from their religion.

The Term- Disfellowshipped -no longer used???
by annalice ini just got an email from a still active witness friend of mine and in it she says that they no longer use the word disfellowshipped.
they announce that so and so is "no longer " one of jehovah''s witnesses.
is this true?

I have two vehicles one being my boat puller it is a 1995 Dodge Caravan and the other is my sweetness of a car it is a 1984 Firebird Trans- Am. It is the HO model the same car model that was used in the show nightrider. In the summer I can pull off the T-Tops and a nice cruise in the warm air is what I am missing right now. Darn it where is summer ?
