Jon passed away this morning
by jonjonsimons inmy name is kevin and i am jon's partner.
jon gave me his password a few weeks ago and asked me to post to the board if something happened to him.
as some of you know jon had been undergoing cancer treatment since the end of july.

I have had episodes of knowingness since childhood.... and being the firstborn of 6 generations of witnesses. I think it is safe to say that I wasn't unduly exposed to what most people would refer to as "demonic influences". I simply know things on occasion that I cannot explain.
For example, last month, within 5 minutes of meeting a Mormon who stopped by my door to share his version of this worlds truth, the thought "Amy is pregnant" entered my head and were out my mouth before I could think about how embarrassed I would be to have him stare back dumbly. I had no idea that he had a sister in law named Amy ... He came back the following week to tell me that he had received a letter from home informing him that he would soon be an uncle ... Amy is pregnant.
I can't do it at will and I never know when it will happen, but when it does I am right.
The only experience that I have had with the ouija board was shortly after the death of a cousin. I couldn't get it to work and was convinced it was a hoax. The owner of the board, who knew nothing of my cousin or her death, joined me. As soon as she touched the pointer the board started to spell my cousin's very distinctive name (so distinctive that I have not heard it before or since on anyone, which is why I am not going to post it here). I started to cry and tremble, my friend had no idea what was going on. My young cousin's message for me was simple. "It is nothing like they told us".

answer to emails
by helpothers inmany have emailed me regarding donations for the victims of the terrorist attacks in new york and washington d.c. others have expressed concern and would like to help with donating money.
i have found a way to do that.
i have signed up with several programs that pay for leads.

Where are the People of God to be found today?
by stevieb1 inthis is a matter i have wrestled with.
who are the people of god, where are they to be found.
i feel that there are some within the watchtower organization as there are in other churches.

If that is the case, then I am very glad for you that you have found salvation. Even though we have a pretty major disagreement in philosophies, it is obvious to me that you are a kind and concerned person now..
I believe that our paths are different and that this is the way God intended it to be. … I also believe it when you tell me that you have found your true path… all I ask for is room to walk mine.

Gumby .... the words you quoted were intended as sarcasm ... I think you make a valid point. I do believe that God knows our hearts... I don't think that this absolves us of the responsibility to listen to them however.

This is a topic about which I can really get worked up ..... I have spent so much time being force fed concepts that I do not believe… that I have not really formed a firm understanding of what i DO believe. This however is what I know ....
If I take away anything created by the hand of man (ie: WTBS, Bible, Koran, Torah, Book of Mormon, etc) and look at Gods' creation ,I see people with divergent and fiery opinions, who are more alike than different... but OH BOY the differences! I see a myriad of colors, flowers ... etc. (All of the arguments that the WTBS uses to convince us of Gods love) and I think WOW. God must really celebrate diversity....
My heart tells me that this God who could be so loving and so diverse would not create these differences and then offer only one path to Him...
Now hold on guys …… I KNOW…. I have read the bible from front to back more than once. Any answer I am looking for can be found therein.. but I have found answers in The Book of Mormon and the Torah as well. Believe it or not I have even found an answer or two in the pages of the Watchtower. But the key here is that they were MY answers to MY questions. My answers will not be the same as yours … I am not you … there they are again .. those brilliant GOD GIVEN differences.
Maybe Gods chosen people are the ones who have the courage to have the relationship with Him that He built into their hearts ….. despite the outside pressures and influences.
