  Forbidden Pleasures ......

  this morning on the way to work, i burst into song.

  not just any song ... but the heretofore forbidden "star spangled banner".

  i just felt like singing and i wanted to sing something challenging and it seemed like the perfect choice.

  This morning on the way to work, I burst into song. Not just any song ... but the heretofore forbidden "Star Spangled Banner". I just felt like singing and I wanted to sing something challenging and it seemed like the perfect choice. I LOVED IT! I loved the way the words rolled around my mouth, I loved the ebb and tide of the melody and I loved that I nailed every single note. As I was singing, I felt truly free.

  This experience made me start thinking about the small pleasures that I now enjoy that were previously forbidden, and I was wondering if others have experienced a similar freedom? What little things do you really enjoy that you never allowed yourself when you were a member of the borg? I'm not talking about the big stuff like oral copulation and Christmas (two of my favorite things ), but those little pleasures that you never would have thought of trying before. The ones that make you feel as if you are finally free.

  Xmas xchange present(s) arrived safely........

  i have already gotten an email from someone stating that their gift arrived safely in the mail.

  i thought it would be nice to start a thread where we can post what we got (for those nosey like me who want to know!

  ) and a thank you.. as for me, i haven't even begun yet!

  YEAH!!! I got a heart shaped christmas ornament (I collect them!) 4 different grades of maple syrup (I am a huge pancake lover, guess what we are having for breakfast tomorrow??) and 2 wonderfully scented candles!

  THANK YOU! This was so much fun!! I am SO in the Xmas spirit,,,,,, is it too early to put up the tree??

  You have a suspicious mind girl! LOL. I opened the package and read the card but didn't open the wrapped gifts inside. That is why it has been so hard! I am going to open it now ..... Be back in a few.

  Thank you for your patience!

  I am sorry that it has taken me so long to post this, I have not been to the board much. My son has been ill, I am overworked and I am trying to get the house painted before the holidays. Please forgive me. The gift arrived a couple of weeks ago. It has been killing me not to open it until Christmas. Can I open it please??

  BTW, This is my very first Christmas package ever!

  Edited to say that I am also WAY into Pier One candles and incense! I like all kinds of smelly good stuff Mmmmmm.
