You just can't figure cats.
So much wisdom from Blondie! I've had my cat for about 8 years now, and I still can't figure her out. One thing I know for sure.. she sets up the rules in the house.
my wife and i have a new cat - a 7 month old blue smoke persian named olly (pedigree name is pannonius olympian).
olympian he is too - weighing in at 5kg already !!.
he's extremely timid, and hides pretty much constantly, meowing (squeaking now cos i think he's made his throat sore, poor mite).

or last night i hung out with an old friend.
she's always been strange to me.
we don't really believe in the same things but i always thought of her as a good person that was still fun to be around (in small doses) even if we had disagreements.. i hadn't seen her in a year or so.
She might say that women should obey their husbands, just because it suits the situation here. A friend of mine "obeys" her husband when it is to her advantage to do so. but she will disobey her husband when they have different opinions and she wants to be the one who is right.
To be honest, I think that many women obey their husbands when the husband says that the woman should not work. LOL, I don't blame them at all, I would do the same thing.
But does your friend really have that mindset, or is she just using the thought of obeying her husband because the subject is "a woman should not work"??
ouch, I'm allergic to alcohol and never drink it, so no wine or beer here.
I don't drink coffee. Never have, don't even know how it tastes.
The only pizza I like is breakfast pizza. You know, the kind you get at gas stations along the highway.. pretty yummy.
Wonderful pictures, es. It took almost a half hour to load them, but it was worth the wait. I hope you had a wonderful day.

i don't have the current article, but believers are once again flocking to the sacramento based vietnamese catholic martyrs church to see what appears to be red liquid coming from the eyes of the statue of the mother of the lord.. wheres james randi when you need the guy?.

I am convinced that many of such and similar occurances are hoaxes and tricks to attract gullible folks (and their money). It is a true shame to suck money out of often already poor people, just for the sake of greediness. It is even more of a shame to hide behind a "miracle from above" to do such. When things like this happen, like Mary crying.. the state really should do a thorough investigation, perhaps break the statue if they have to.. if it turns out to be a hoax, they should put whoever is behind it in jail for a very long time.
When I was much younger, one of my hobbies was to "look into" supernatural occurances which have to do with religions. The only one I could never discard as a hoax was the appearance of Mary to Bernadette at Lourdes, France. I even went to Lourdes to check things out, but that was a mistake. The place is swamped with tourists, and if you want to see some real human suffering from very close up, Lourdes is the place to go. However, I pretty much read everything there was to read about the subject of Lourdes, and to this day, I still wonder.. I would love to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Any word from gadget yet?
i just got back from montreal.
i was there a bit longer than expected this time.. my granddaughter was christened megan elizabeth on saturday.
after the service and the dinner i met with my two daughters to talk about my sister and her recent death.. my brother in toronto was holding a similar opportunity in toronto for some of her friends.. i read the post i made at my sister robin rip mar.
Thank you for the update, Lady Lee. I am so very sorry for all the things you and your sister have gone through. I don't know what to say because words are only words and they can't change the past. After doing some reading on your website, I am confident that you can turn your feelings into positive energy in order to help others. The one consolation you have is that you are helping other people.
Warm hugs to you

(and this time, the links actually do something!

my mother walked in while i was scrolling down! she was like: "nice to see you doing some personal study for once"
LMAO
Dave, this is excellent work. The links are hilarious. I lost the link to this a while ago, but this time I bookmarked it.
Perhaps you should organize a contest.. write an article to add to this site.
Cheers,
Chris

Yeah, time is running out. I only make it to the post office once a month (around the 20th), and I went yesterday. Was hoping to have a name by then. I am either going to have to give the package to someone else so that they can mail it for me, or I will have to wait until the 20th of December to send mine.
I hope that Gadget is all right.
Blondie, I mailed a package overseas yesterday, I can let you know how long it takes to arrive, should you draw an overseas name. Packages and letters go VERY slow this time of year. I got a package from Canada (BC) yesterday. The package was sent on November 8th.
