Complete guide to apostafests
the watchtower society has, for about seven decades, been attracting new volunteer workers for its field ministry with the promise of life forever on a paradise earth.
even the titles of its main study books since 1968 bear the promise: the truth that leads to eternal life, you can live forever in paradise on earth, and knowledge that leads to everlasting life.
how logical is this hope that leads people to entrust the watchtower with their time, energy and worldly possessions?
Watchtower teaches the idea, citing Psalms 37:29 where the righteous possess the ‘earth’ and live in it ‘forever’
As with every other bible scripture, this one leaves room for interpretation. Let's say I buy a piece of land and build a house on it, intending to give it to my children and to keep it in the family. I could say "My family will possess this land and live on it forever," which would be completely true. In the same way, there will always be "righteous" people living on the earth, today, tomorrow, forever..
i love my cats as if they were my own children.
i was there when they were born and even cut one of the umbilical cords.
they are part of my family and yes, i do pick them up, hug them and kiss them everyday.
Kissing and fondling cats is a good way to get ringworms.
OOHHH THAT's where I got the ringworm from? I had it on my leg for like 2 years, until I finally went to the doctor. It was huge and all infected. After the doctor gave me something to put on it, it cleared up within days and never came back. Yes, I kiss my cat a lot, because she loves it. The cat also likes to kiss me back, but I'm not overly fond of that.
for me, 2005 was a great year.

its funny to me... i was just talking to someone i consider my friend.
she doesnt come on here, but she left the "truth".
i now have gotten to know her and her husband, along with their son and his wife.
I have less friends now, because most of my friends were JWs. There is one friend in particular I really miss. We used to hang out a lot together, and we are very much alike. Both lovers of nature and solitude.
i prefer showers.
it's quick.
convienient, i can brush my teeth, shave and host of various other things that you just can't get done in the tub.
I hate showers. Last bath was 15 minutes ago when I came home from work.

did you ever fulfill your childhood dreams?
mine was in sports, and yes, i have fulfilled my dreams even when i was in the witness program.
golf
My childhood dreams were very strong, almost obsessive, I think. I wanted to join a circus, travel around the world, then help poor people in Africa and eventually live in a very deserted place (this one was definitely influenced by the Caruso family).
I am 43 and I have learned a very important lesson in life. Some dreams should just remain what they are .... dreams. When you want to make your dreams come true and you spare time nor effort to do such, chances are that you will be losing sight of the bigger picture in life and the emotional price you will pay to make your dreams come true might just be way too high.
What came of my dreams? I spent two years in Africa, helping the less fortunate. I traveled through 3 different continents as a juggler/magician, a bit like my own little circus. Now I live in the middle of nowhere, but not far enough out yet. It is my plan to eventually go live in the woods somewhere, far away from civilization. (still working on that one)
