TAKING OUR LIVES BACK - #2
by Amazing intaking our lives back #2 .
choices of conscience, freedom of thought, common sense, personal taste, individual maturity, accepting consequences of our choices, accountability for actions, personal determination, and the right and need to ask questions, even to question authority are among the cherished features humanity.
when religion, government, business, or other social arrangements interfere with these, they encroach upon our dignity, our self-worth, our most basic rights and the foundation of our existence.. how the wts entrapped us: when someone begins studying with the jws, they are led to understand and believe that religion in general, especially christendom have not properly helped people to understand gods requirements and his expectations to be met in order for us to have a relationship with god and gain his approval.. the process begins with basic issues that are rather obvious to the modern mentality, such as not worshipping idols (a.k.a.

We had a sister in our congregation who was molested by an elder. She was only 9 years old when he started to molest her and when she got the courage to speak she was 13 years old. By this time he had actually had intercourse with her and all . They actually blamed her for not speaking up sooner and said that she had consented so they disfellowshipped her The elder was repentent and was removed as an elder, but he is still in the congregation and his wife was told to forgive him for it and stay with him.
And he knocks on doors too

For Christians who want to befriend xJW's
by Jang inover the last 20 years i have seen christians make the same mistakes over and over again.
they think that all they have to do is preach and xjws will respond .... doesn't work!
i have seen very few xjws who have become christians immediately and stayed that way.

There is a Christian lady who lives near me who has been really good to me. She never preaches to me but she has always been there for me even when I was active. When I had my last baby and was sick for a few weeks she would come every day and help me in the home and help care for my other 2 children and cook meals and everything .... not one of the people in my congregation came to help even though they were in my street witnessing. This is what made me realize there was something really wrong. This Christian lady still helps me and has helped me meet other ladies in my area and has taken me to her ceramics club and helped me get a new life. I have known this lady for 5 years now and she is just what I believe a real Christian should be.

This is really good JanG. I can see a lot of work ahead of me but I know I can make it.
I really appreciate the people on here who have posted this type of information. I didn't know there were so many people who really cared for others outside the organization. I was so blind to all the good in this world.

Moving on to Personal Responsibility
by Jang inwhen we leave the organization we are beginning to take responsibility for our own lives and not looking to others to make decisions for us.
growing into the person you are meant to be is an interesting and fulfilling journey.
here are some guidelines someone gave me many many years ago which i look at from time to time to see how i am going.. what is accepting personal responsibility?.

Social Psychology And Group Dynamics
by Jang insocial psychology and group dynamics.
studies have shown that todays cults use a stronger form of control than those of 50 years ago.
the advent of new psychological experiments in the 60s and 70s have produced the modern methods of mind control which are far more sophisticated than the behaviour modification techniques and thought reform developed by the chinese.

I was often told I was in a cult but I never believed it. Now after reading this I think that I was. It is scary to think that they had so much control over me.
