I sent it the the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune, Stevens Point Journal, Marshfield Herald, and the Wausau Daily Herald the day this was posted. So far no response.

Name Some Trivial Things That Are Big Deals To JWs

so many things come to mind to show how silly jws sound in reality.

for example, being allowed to pass the microphones is a big deal, especially to a young brother.

or being given the "privilege" of cutting the grass or working on a "quick-build" is really something special to a jw.

Making such a big deal about baby showers, and the actual birth, and then never again acknowledging that special day.

Well, I just sent off a red-hot letter today. I had every intention of making a thoughtful, kind one, but I woke up in a "mood", and since I wanted to put it in today's mail, it was sent without any second thoughts. My husband approved, so that is really all that matters to me.

I wonder how this particular elder will like it when he reads that "he is no more appointed by God than a tree stump."

i just can't believe it!

after sending the elders a letter (see http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/91796/1.ashx) we get a letter from elder s. that he understands that families are busy, can't be reached for short notice meetings, yada yada yada.

so they are setting another meeting for june 12. .

LOL You guys have some great responses!

And xjwms, we have never heard of this happening, either. Especially with OUR elders. We are shocked, but if they want to play a little game, well then, we'll play!

Campaign to stop pro-JW documentary

i have been concerned since i read on a couple of posts about the pro-jw documentary which is in the works to be publicly aired on pbs.

i studied the website, and it looks extremely favorable to watchtower.

so they are setting another meeting for june 12. .

No, we are not planning on going-we just wanted to mail them a response. They are feeling a "sense of urgency", apparently, about the apostate sticker. There is nothing they could do or say that will make me take it off.

I want to get this across to them with a note, but am not above giving them a few jabs in my letter to go along with it!

Any ideas?

I just can't believe it! After sending the elders a letter (see http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/91796/1.ashx) we get a letter from Elder S. that he understands that families are busy, can't be reached for short notice meetings, yada yada yada. So they are setting ANOTHER meeting for June 12. Seems they are especially concerned with my apostate sticker on the mailbox. We thought after telling them we were having a birthday party that that would end things.

What does it take to get disfellowshipped in this congregation, anyway??? I have a Silent Lambs sticker on my mailbox, wear a Silent Lambs tee shirt in public (gave a GREAT anti-witness to my child's pediatrician yesterday, by the way), have announced to everyone that will listen about Watchtower abuse, tell everyone we know that we are no longer witnesses....my husband even told an elder back in February that we are never coming back and mentioned Mexico/Malawi, etc.)

Tomorrow my new flag goes up on the side of our house. Perhaps that will help! LOL

We want to send another snappy retort that makes everything final. Anyone have any great ideas? Swan did so good with the last one!!!!
