Wow. I believe in God.
I don't know why suffering exists. I don't like suffering.
I wish God would make suffering go away.
apparently, a large percentage of xjw's who post on this site have embraced some other form of god/jesus belief to replace the wt doctrine.
most of them fall into the "i accept the lord jesus christ as my personal savior" class.
they are still extremely attached to the old "forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of jc" line.

i just found this on e-watchman's forum.... http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=822&st=40.
judah shroeder was listed as deputy director of public affairs as of 2000 and was heavily involved in helping the organization defend itself .
against russia and france.
I thought someone mentioned that his FIL was likely paying the costs.
.
i need to be prepared to discuss this topic.. the witnesses use several nt verses about being 'fitly united' and 'of one mind' , etc etc.
to show that christians must think the same on spiritual subjects.. using the bible as your guide how would you explain to a witness that being united in mind doesn't mean uniformity?
I thought of it as Satan would love to mislead an anointed person. What a feather in his cap. They wouldn't all be mislead and if one of them was they would no longer be chosen, until they returned to Jehovah.
Don't try too hard to get the dub thinking down. I'm trying just as hard to lose the dub thinking.
growing up as a kid in the 70's (and early 80's), did you ever notice at the assembly that there was always someone who had a tape recorder on stage and was taping the whole assembly.
are these tapes around today, generally i would love to hear some talks that were given before 1975 and see how many brothers said something big was going to happen, because we all know the watchtower never said that !!!
(yeah right).. any websites that might have a few of these or other interesting topics ???.
The society came out with some direction several years ago that we should be careful sharing tapes of meetings and talks. If we didn't attend and tape it for ourself we may not really know who the speaker.
With that one article many of the friends stopped sharing their tapes or even taping the talks themselves.
Some do have huge libraries of tapes that go back decades, though.

Thanks MJ.
I wonder if a chosen one is mislead if they are still a chosen one?

Your posts are exactly what I was looking for. I can't tell you how helpful this has been.
what does it mean for a jw to be inactive?
and why do people call them dubs?
sorry if i should know this but i am kind of new.
Just to beat the proverbial dead horse:
Each baptized Jehovah's Witness is expected to report their hours of preaching on a monthly basis.
If you miss a report you are considered 'irregular' The title 'irregular' lasts until you turn in 6 consecutive monthly reports.
If you miss 6 consecutive reports you are considered 'inactive.' The elders will try (well, they're supposed to) to reactivate individuals who fall into the 'inactive' category. It doesn't look good on the report to the Circuit Overseer to have 'irregular' and 'inactive' Witnesses in the congregation.
my wife asked me if i was going to the special talk this sunday?
i told her no and she said "how could i miss the special talk?
" i asked her what was so special about it?
Once you do this the congregation will assign some poor wannabe MS to patrol the parking lots.
The poor MS will miss meetings by being in the parking lot.
He'll eventually fall out of the truth all because you posted talk outlines on some windshields.
Good job.

Ummm did anyone read the section titled "Meetings"
she's had conversations with apostates within this past month. She has even had a friend df'd and feels somewhat responsble.
Also, she feels that her study conductor dislikes her.
On a positive note she thinks that the apostates are kind and friendly. Even if it's only to 'draw her away from God.'
If someone here is talking to her be mindful to encourage a close relationship with God and let her know she can do that without the organization.
