What are your vacation/holiday plans this year?

i am planning a three week rv camping trip out west and back in june.

we want to see some dinosaur digs,redwood trees, yellowstone national park, the grand canyon, my two grown kids and our two granddaughters.

6000 miles in 3 weeks- and i don't even want to think about the gasoline bill!

Hey-- doesn't anybody have JW Convention plans---NOT-- Thank God!!! By the way--How long are the assemblies these days. Are they still 4 days long?

I'm going to New York City for a 30th class reunion in June. Love planning vacations.

Letter to my jw friends

after reading about dawg's" lay it on the line" latter, i decided to do the same.

i never been one for keeping my thoughts to myself, so it was about time.

if you get time, take a look, (it's a bit long).. j. hello everyone,.

Makes me wonder--how can any JW read this letter and not stop and think. But they do it all the time. Most will read a little and feel it's their obligation to toss it out as soon as they realize it's "apostate material." Those who will have the courage to continue reading will probably dismiss the logic and truth of it all by thinking that "Satan's got him for sure" and never bother to think an independent thought. It just bugs me because their is no way of getting through as much as we would like to. I've been trying for 20 years now and finally had to resign myself to the fact that we're dealing with robots here and not normal, thinking minds. Too bad isn't it. Sorry to be such a downer--but let me spare you years of futility in thinking that you can somehow make these people think. It's worth trying though and who knows the letter may fall on ears that may just be ready to hear. I hope, I hope. Great job on the letter, though.

Apostafest

sorry to be a copycat, but someone mentioned an apostafest and the subject got my full attention.

i would also like to know if anyone here knows of any apostafest in the central florida area (daytona, cocoa beach, orlando, etc.).

i've never heard of such a gathering, but i think it would be so cool to actually meet some of you guys.

I would also like to know if anyone here knows of any Apostafest in the Central Florida area (Daytona, Cocoa Beach, Orlando, etc.). I've never heard of such a gathering, but I think it would be so cool to actually meet some of you guys. Does anyone here live in the areas mentioned above and know of or would like to start setting up an Apostafest anywhere in the surrounding areas. I think it's time we met, don't you?

not practicing this religion does give you a lot of freedom and normalcy.

It's the Watchtower that should be ashamed, for ruining lives and sowing the seeds of hate. This needs repeating. Shame on you--Watchtower. They deserve no respect what-so-ever.

I have seen in my life that :"what you talk about and think about all day long just expands" While a JW, all they ever talked about was SIN and sin is what I and so many JWs kept falling into. When I left, I went wild because that's what I was told would happen, so for a few months that's exactly what happened--at least wild for me, but then-- that was enough. I then was able to take inventory and ask myself --"how do I really see myself--what do I really believe about myself" and found out that I became a better person without having to be forced or scared into it. I truly became morally, mentally, physically, and especially spiritually a much, much, super-much better person since.

Do you have a comedy act somewhere. I surely would attend. I'm cracking up. How'd you come up with this stuff. No wonder you don't think Brenda's act was funny. You take it to a much higher level indeed. Can't see how you could possibly be offended with what she did after reading what you would try. Her stuff pales compared to yours by a long shot.. WOWOOEE. I'd pay big bugs to see your act. Enjoyed your comments. Laughed a lot.

Enjoyed everybody's thoughts on this. It made me realize that although we all share a common bond as XJW's, we see and feel differently overall.

I say whatever it takes to relieve our minds and hearts of all the horror, torture and mind games they put us through while we were in their prison. Who cares what they feel about it, what they say or whatever--it's not about them anymore. You know why she did it---BECAUSE SHE CAN.
