My Wife Is Getting A Sheparding Call

i've disassociated myself since february.

i made no secret of my disapproval of the wtbts and was very vocal to my doubts of it being god's true organization on earth to the po.

now, the po and another elder has scheduled to talk with my wife tonight for a sheparding call at the home of the book study.

Sorry about that. That's how I lost my wife..."endangering her spirituality"...whatta crock! I allowed her and the kids to attend and never fought with her about it. I even still attended once in awhile. She was baptized and although I was born into it I wasn't dunked. What's funny is I made really great money back then and she always wrote the checks for the box...so I am sure the elders that gave her that great advice thought the money would continue after I was gone. It didn't. She became a struggling realtor in a crapped-out market. Too bad. If they do convince her to dump you, fight tooth and nail for everything, especially the kids. I lost my daughter but got my son out. Good Luck. And by the way if they are "shepherding" her in your home you have a right to be there...although I would just hide a tape recorder so you can always be one up. They are extremely sneaky so you have to beat them at their own game.

What do you think when people tell you to just "move on"?

"just get over it, let the past stay in the past".

i always say, "ya, but...".

You can never have a "normal" relationship with a family member who is controlled by a Cult. So, No you can never "move on" as long as they hold family members hostage! Those who are not in that situation may be able to "move on" depending on other variables such as length of involvement, etc.

i know brent r. had a thread on this yesterday or day before , but in honor of my personal all-time favorite group, i had to write a few things here !

if some of you have seen the u-tube of them performing songs with john bonham's son jason on drums , it was an incredible performance !

watching their expertise on " stairway to heaven " and " kashmir " was like being back in high school again, like they never went away !

Hey you don't think that song is about the Slobbering Body do you? I mean, aren't They and the other "annointed" part of that stairway? And what about "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"...is that about Lucifer in his pre-kicked-out-f-heaven life? Or is about Lucille Ball? These questions and more...enquiring minds want to know.

A New Scholar has just entered the Building

our new resident scholar, rev1212 informs the board that.... the year 1914, which is the year that the gentile times (aka appointed times of the nations) ended, was determined though a study of the bible along with no doubt some holy spirit given to the brothers that were able to discern this information.. there are quite a few scriptures involved in coming to the year 1914, one of them from ezekiel about "lifting off the crown and it will be no one's until he who has the legal right comes".

so that is the starting point, which was 607 bc, when jerusalem fell to babylon.

then another significant scripture is from daniel chapter 4 which showed the appointed times of the nations would be "seven times".

i have spoken to a number of jws since the annoucement was made about the private book study group being eliminated from jan 2009.. .

the governing body were fully aware that writing "satan is angrier than ever" as the opening sentence of the letter, jehovah's witnesses would put 2 and 2 together and make 5.. .

they were counting on this.

Ya know, I ran into Satan the other day at WalMart and he really is pissed off...

...apparently too many Dubbies are purchasing 4-door cars and SUVs creating an overwhelming surplus of nice 2-door models and really screwing up the economy. That and the fact that Satan has major investments in the cotton-blend fabric industry and all those Dubbies insist on Polyester-blends...his dividends are way down....Good gawd people, How is the preeminent Evil Being of the whole Universe supposed to build any kind of retirement package with 6-million Dubbies flaunting their "right" to be different. And now they will spend less at the pump hurting the Great Horned One's oil portfolio.

The Drueling Body is way ahead of him! Instead of retiring in the lap-of-luxury in Vegas he's going to be forced into spending his golden years at Jerry Springer Trailer Haven in Del Rio Texas. A very sad end to such a proud celestial entity.

Falling Asleep at Assemblies

yes i have dozed off many times when i used to attend.

most of the time kept the shades on as we used to have outside assemblies.

the thing was not to slide off the chair, drop your head forward or snore.. i've seen some brothers/sister hitting a serious lean to the left or right as they slept and then they'd jerk awake, only to lean again.. some people had sneaky methods.

The trick is to paint wide open eyeballs on your eyelids so it looks like you're awake while you're snoozing away.

in the above thread, otwo made a comment about how someone might sue the wt based on their shunning policy.

i have not seen the topic discussed here and have been unsuccessful in getting the search function of the site to gather information about it, but i wonder if we as a group could sue the washtowel society.

All I can say is, the WTBS is getting away with murder. Try kicking someone out of your business, fraternal organization or other religion and then tell the co-workers, members or rest of the flock to treat them like Whores & Cheats...and see if you can get away with it.
