by nicolaou inthere are the abuses of course, the diabloical 'two witness' rule applied to allegations of molestation, the reckless 'blood ban' in all it's tortuous complexities (which by watchtowers own admission has resulted in many fatalaties) and the cruel punishment of shunning which has caused so much suffering and pain to many of us here.. is it for these reasons that you want to see the watchtower fall or is it simply that you want to see them humiliated and broken for what they've done to you?
most of us aren't bitter or selfish enough to want personal revenge against the watchtower but i'd be lying if i said i didn't sometimes think like that.. the reason for my original question is that i sometimes feel a bit hypocritical.
i try to accord respect to jw's and individuals of all faiths, (yes, even when i go off on one of my atheistic diatriabes) but whereas i allow myself to be hostile to the watchtower i shrink from being so forthright against other 'christian' faiths whose corrosive nature may not be so easily apparent but is there nonetheless.. i guess my question is; why do we want the watchtower to fall but do not wish all religion to fall?.

I had especially good response a couple of years ago. I went to different churches and asked the pastors, etc if I could put a info/poster on their church bulletin board (oh excuse me, "information board")?
The info/poster explained the child molester situation and the fact that the Org was protecting them. I figured, if church-goers would read this, they would be ready for the Dubbies when they came to their door. All the pastors were extremely pleasant and supportive.
One of my posters that had been placed in a public place caused a Dubbie sister to write to the local newspaper calling it "a pack of lies." This allowed me the opportunity to defend the flyer and quote from such articles as Newsweek, Dateline, etc. I even challenged the elders to write a letter to defend their organzation. Nothing else was written by them...color me surprised!
I believe this new court news gives us another chance to bring them and their lying message to the forefront...especially as mentioned, when they are knocking on doors telling others how terrible their religion is.

This is very true. I recently heard that the postal service and M.O.A. (Milkmen of America) were going to require their workers to attend JW meetings...mainly do to the fact that Satan and his deemunz do not like mailmen or milkmen. Also recent scientific research has revealed that dogs are easily swayed by the ultra-high pitched voices from S and the gang. I just hope they never start to control the BIRDS! Then we'll really be in for it.

New Urban Legend! Anyone heard about Hormel?
by gaiagirl ina member of another conservative cult (calls itself a bible fellowship) where i work told me that hormel, the makers of canned chili and other foods, is run by homosexuals, and that i shouldn't buy or eat their products.
i asked how the bedroom practices of the company owners or employees affected the quality of the food?
their reply was that "everything gives off something" and that the food would be tainted by some kind of deviant unnatural vibes because the owners/employees were deviant and following an unnatural lifestyle.
