i remember working at a banquet hall/resturant, and it was just around the time when the jw teachings/actions weren't sitting well with me.

but my mind was still very much a jw.

a lady, whom i clicked with & whom i'd hung out with a few times, came up to me one day and said "homeschool, there's a couple things i wanted to tell you.

i don't quite understand why you call it commenting.. when i attended meeting the question at end were read.. when people "commented" it was never a real comment.. it was just reading back word for word a sentence or two from the paragraph that answered the question.. i would think "commentary" would be something you put in your own words and give a personal statement about it.. .

why do you call it "comments" when it is more like reciting?.

or is it different in other kh?.

That is independent thinking and they will ahve none of that.

alot of you already know about me because he's talked about me on here before...even has posted pictures, at which he incurred my wrath upon my discovery.

anyways...i'm about to submit my letter of disassociation to my local congregation and i thought i would share it.

I think tipsy is the best way to write a DA letter. I love the letter. However I wouldn't add a copy of your drivers license, because of identity theft. They won't think that this is a hoax.

scared of the birds

i was raised as a j dub since i was a little girl.

i'm 22 now and i'm still scared of those damn birds.

i got baptized when i was ten so it was beat hard in me that the birds were going to eat all the wicked people.

I don't like chickens. It doesn't have anything to do with JW's though. We ahd one as a pet when I was 8 and the damn thing chased me around the yard and pecked at the back of my legs.

we all know wt's view of "apostates"and disfellowshiped persons.

they grap from the old testament quotes that "god's people, isralites" stone to death the evil doers, even the unobedient children.

the first one to cast the stone was a close relative, parents, brothers, sisters.

Well out of the elders in my JC at least one of them would thrown the first stone, eventhough he wasn't a relative. And my mom well if looks could kill she wouldn't need no stone.

Why do JWs think they are "better" than the rest of us?

why is it that the majority of witnesses seem to think they are "better" than the rest of us... i almost became an unbaptized publisher... i say almost... i was in and out for about 2 years, but always felt that the members of the congregation looked down on me... what is that all about?

how does that kind of behavior correlate to loving your neighbor and exuding love all the time... they talk about intense love and the condition of your heart... well, if the condition of their hearts is that they think and feel that they are better than everybody else, that just don't jive.... another question... anybody know how to get in touch with ex-jws in their geographic area> it would be great to talk to someone face-to-face :).

Well they are told constantly that they are gods favored people better than the "worldlies" out there. because god is gonna kill all of them and save only the JWs. Imagine being told that all your life. you will develop a superiority complex.

Then the most holy JW's are better than the just barely there publisher.

Love is a secondary, no third, no forth no fifth, thought for them.

BASHING the families of disfellowshiped ones

as if the first assembly day was not bad enough, talking about the greedy, fame hungry witnesses who go to college and will not get blessings from jehovah, sunday was worse.. .

i could tell the wife was not happy the minute she came through the door.

after letting her get her "lemonade" in a glass, i said, "so, no rough talks today?".

One of the Governing Body had a stroke yesterday

on may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.

he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.

I'm trying to feel sorry for him... but I just can't.

Now mind you I am not a cold heartless person. I have a rabbit rescue for sick and injured rabbits. I adopt stray cats that people leave on my doorstep. I help my father who has cancer and broke his pelvis.

But this man garners no sympathy from me.

My husband's 1st birthday party....he's 25

ok, i am seriously on the verge of crying, but i think i'll be ok. my first emotion is being totally pissed off, but the root is sadness.

i threw my husband his first birthday party, a surprise at that.. it's his first ever birthday party, and it was his 25th....a biggie.

so why the f&*% didnt people show?

Ps: sometimes it takes people awhile to get used to the idea that you are celebrating b-days.
