alright this is what i expect in a supreme being he being supreme and all.. i expect that he is to busy running the universe to give a sh*t whether you find your keys,,get a divorce,,or get down on your knees pray to him or get down on somebody,,, he's just got to be too f**king busy to worry about your sh*t. this is as it should be to me anyway,,, i expect my universe level type god has to just watch the universe unfold(eyes glued to the show) while he keeps his hands on the controls and he don't go off coarse smite-ting unbelievers for some egoistic sport instead i expect him keep his mind focused and don't sweat the small shit..
Okay fine, I'm gonna keep shopping for a Supreme Being that realizes that I'm more important than the rest of the universe.

former elder, and assembly overseer roberto from france will be joining barbara and joe anderson on tonight's conference call, july 18,2009. roberto was disfellowshipped in june 2009 and after many faithful years of service is now joining thousands of others who are speaking out against the evils of the watchtower organization.
our call tonight will be focused on how the country of france, as well as other european countries are investigating jehovah's witnesses.
the watchtower organization is experiencing difficulties in these countries for the inhumane treatment and exerting too much control over people's lives.

Oh I can't stand some of the reasoning on that thread. Some of the jw posters are so misguided.
throughout the bible it constantly points to books which havent been included in the codex.for example it says "see the book of enoch" or "enoch prophesied of these..".and "see the book of jasher" as well as others.. the watchtower has always said that even though babylon the great isnt gods organization that they happened to be guided by gods holy spirit when they decided which books to cananize and which to not.. only thing is thinking about it one thing springs to mind!.
if they are written about in scripture under the israelites and under the christians of the 1st century then they were of course using these "missing books" back then anyway.. so the watchtowers stance on this is flawed.. does anyone else have anymore information on these missing books or the watchtowers info on this?.

I have read a little bit of the apocryphal books. LOL the one about solomon makes him look wackier than the books that made it into the bible. I think the men who decided which books made it into the bible must have based their decision on what could be believed and what was to diffult to swallow didn't make it in.

that's what i've been doing with a lot of jws including hubby and it seems to have the greatest affect without them putting there defenses up.. for example, i said to hubby the other night regarding blood fractions: "i dare you to raise your hand and say: so, clearly, the symbol of life is much more important then life itself.
I showed him other bibles where it said that was ok as long as you get married. I showed him the scripture and said
can you show me this scripture, please?

i think they show how habits of thought run most easily along the well grooved and often travelled ruts in our minds.
we need to question these 'obvious truths' more often .

ok, i can tolerate jw's once in a blue moon, even the mormons, but in the past month i have had the following:.

airconditioning.
Maybe do what I do with telemarketers:
Say, "Could you hold on a minute?" Put the phone down (Or close the door).
Then continue doing whatever you are doing.
When you come back, they're gone!!
i did that once to a telemarketer. I came back to the phone and he was s till there. so I told him my husband really wants to buy your product...but he broke hi sleg so it will take him awhile to get to the phone would you please wait for him. next time I went back to the phone he was gone.
i guess he had no respect for the diabled.
