The homeless sister and the $60,000 RV

there was an elderly sister, she lived near me, a sweet woman, who became homeless because her ramshackled old house caught fire.
around that same time one of the overseers (imagine that using a slavery term), i forget if it was district or circuit overseer, came to town wanting a new rv/truck combo.

Official visit from two local elders one fine Sunday morning

a week ago sunday my fiancee and i were sitting in the living room drinking coffee and watching the morning talking heads when we heard the crunch of tires on the gravel in the driveaway, about 10:30 or so.

Dealing with JW anger
by loosie inok i need some suggestions form others here on how to deal with anger as a result of being a jw for so many years.. i am normally an easy going person.
i am friendly and easy to get along with as long as you have a sense of humor and aren't a sexist.. i am trying to live well by finally going back to school and no longer living for this world to end.
i am much happier because of leaving the jw's.

Thank you all for your comments. Maybe I am expecting too much too soon, it's been 4 years since I started to leave. I only have 2 friends who are still in. I only communicate with them through email. I'd be happy if they left the WT too.
A lot of my depression has left since I started school. It really helps to have a goal.
I guess it does put things into persepctive that the JW group is pretty small on the worlds radar. But I guess I never thought of them that way because they were so big to me. But I have meet some people in KS who don't know what a JW is!!!! LOL imagine that.

Ok I need some suggestions form others here on how to deal with anger as a result of being a JW for so many years.
I am normally an easy going person. I am friendly and easy to get along with as long as you have a sense of humor and aren't a sexist.
I am trying to live well by finally going back to school and no longer living for this world to end. I am much happier because of leaving the JW's. But I hae a whole lot of anger for what they do to people, what they have done to me and my family and their arrogance about it all.
How can I take the paper that the JW chapter of my life was written on crumple it up and throw it away without ever taking that paper back out of the trash can and revisting it again?

i'd like to point out that men do even more irrating and inexplicable things than women.... 1) not wanting to ask for directions.
2) getting a kick out of seeing people blown up in movies.

I love the special effects in movies as well. I like to see the special effects they put in car crashes. I can easily separate the movie effect from reality so I don't emotionally upset by the car crash of building blowing up. And I am as feminist as they come.

yesterday's bookstudy on divorce got my shorts in a bit of a knot.
apparently, according to the god's love book, a wife could consider legal separation from her husband if she is physically abused, but (get this) only in the case of extreme physical abuse, and if the wife's life is in danger.

A Hypocritical Witness Story
