it works for me and my husband. If he wants to go to a certain place for lunch and I don't I go with him and then next lunch I get to choose... I thought that was being fair and compromising.

This is what I would do. I would help her get them ready for meetings, and tell her that if she insists on taking them to the meetings, you as the head of the house insist that the family celebrate holidays. That way either way you win. if she takes and you celebrate christmas the kids get to see the other side of life ( holidays) and if she won't let you celebrate holidays with them they don't go to the meetings to get indoctrinated.

by minimus inif that's the case, ideally, we should all be preachers and never college students or college grads.
but here's the problem for those that adhere to that viewpoint: jw's should not sponsor anyone that has gone to college.
if you support such ones, it should be conscientously objectionable.

I called this number 951-687-3022 and it ended up being the phillipino congregation that meets in the same bldg but different. this is a double hall bldg. he gave me the other number and I called it and no answer. He said that they were over there having their meeting.

by loosie ini am trying to contact my mothers elders in riverside ca, because my mother doesn't talk to her family.
since that means at least 12 phone calls to various kh's i thought i'd start with my aunt to see what the name of the congegation is.
unfortunatly she didn't know.

Well I did it!!! I called headquarters to find out what hall mom goes to. I only threw up in mouth three times during the call.
I am surprised that they keep details like your address and your hall at brooklyn... I thought it was only the local elders who kept this info.

That in April my mother had fainted while out in service. My mother is 83 and has had both knees replaced and very forgetful. Now she can't write or follow conversations. Why do they need a woman like this to go out in service to place their literature? There is no reason my mother should be pounding the pavement for them.
