ive seen several posts questioning how long it will be before the wt enters the mainstream.
this is an artical about the mainstreaming of adventism and maybe in the future this artical could be written about the wt society and we are talking about sister churches here.
the sdas have had a start on the jw since they were formed as a church in the 1860 in times past many denominations that exist today have been fringe groups.
I don't see an advantage of the Watchtower mainstreaming yet. They have like Danny Bloem said, a strict following basing their faith on the idea that the Watchtower Society is a non mainstream group, using it as a deciding factor in the Wtbs being the only true religion. Unlike similar radical groups such as the World Wide Church of God, the Watchtower hiarchy is not limited to one sole person but rather a never ceasing governing body, whose only limitation is peoples gullibility.

i like to gain insight, get perspective on what it is like to be "on the other side" i guess you can say.
I think that everyone here who shows any bitterness does not necessarly direct it at any individual witness but rather toword the overall spirit of the Organization. The Organization is kind of an entity of it's own which feeds off of others lives like a parasite. I feel sorry for the people who are trapped within it's indoctrination.
Myself I don't think anger adds weight to any debate but rather detracts from it. Sometimes though emotions run high and I feel that is a totally normal part of Cult recovery.

I often thought the Watchtower would go mainstream, but Im not sure if they will or would be able to make that transition as gently as many think. Rather I'm certain they are too afraid of internal repercussions to make such a bold move as yet. Pherhaps in time but it will take a complete new face on the Governing Body, it will take people who will finally admit they weren't as they claimed.

wow, i'm so amazed.
i have some friends whom i've helped out a bit, and they have a computer resale business.
they generally get a lot of older stuff, so when she told me that she would like to give me a laptop, i was a bit skeptical as i didn't want a big ol' dinosaur.. it s an hp omnibook 6000. i've been fixing it up all night, installing stuff.

they were able to use the united nations to get access into countries where their literature had previously been banned or rejected.. i just wonder why they don't give the united nations a little credit in the publications when they announce that new doors have been opened up for the kingdom preaching work?
I agree with Schizm in that a person should try and provide some credentials for what claims they make. This keeps it honest and focused as no one gains from exagerated claims. Maybe their is some backing to this one though, it is one of the more intelligent thoerys I have read. I would be very curious to see the statistics on the number of countrys occupied by the Watchtower Society, both before, during, and after involvement with the United Nations.

i finally told my brother about my feelings toward the wt (he was never baptized) and i'm still waiting for him to respond through email.
how do you mentally prepare for it?
I would fade until you feel fully confident and ready to sever all ties. This way you can choose a future date if you feel the need to officially denounce your membership with the Watchtower organization. You may feel need to finalize it all or you may never feel the need to deal or contact the Witnesses ever again.

there was a thread started not too long ago about how jws feel what the paradise would entail.
one thing i always wrestled with in my mind is that once the earth would be populated with perfect humans that procreation could cease.
eventually the children would grow up and we would be able to associate with perfect adults.
