  her mom called her this morning (the day after we told her we were going to be df'd soon) and said she wants to see everything gina's done research on.

  I'd get into the insane blood policy with her.. not many people can rationalize away dead people, and especially not when it comes to dead children.

  mind games to free yourself of jw fear mentality

  i find that to get rid of the jw mentality i have to play mind games on myself as i go throughout my day.

  one tactic that i've been using recently involves telling myself "now as i go through this (whatever) situation how would you act if you had never been exposed jehovahs witnesses".

  it really is an amazing thing for me b/c after i think about the situation i really do become more comfortable and the true "me" comes out.

  Whenever I feel instinctively bad about celebrating anything or just whatever I think of the experience in CoC of those brothers and sisters in Malawi that got screwed over by the Society. Works like a charm.

  Thanks for the reply AlanF. Man, I never even knew what a 'straw man' was until I read In Search of Christian Freedom.. it kinda stranges me out that he would endorse that type of reasoning again if what you say is true.

  Well at least you have a good bull-shit detector. Just ride it out and when you have you're chance and you're old enough, get the hell outa there. You can do it. I know it sucks because I went through the same thing when I was you're age too.
