there was always the talk of the new order, or new system.. but did you ever take the time to wonder what it would really be like?.

would it be country like, with acres of land per home?
to be honest, i never could envision it...so hard for me to separate this life to the ones they betray on the pics...it was always a shortage of black people so i really thought my chances were slim then!!!!

this is going to take some monovering but, weve got visitors and they want to go to a meeting mid week.
sso we are going to take them to a cong outside our territory, and we need to visit it for a couple of weeks so they think its ours.
I think it's a shame that some of us still feel compelled to make excuses and lie for these people. If you are no longer a prisoner (the real word for a JW believer) then let them have it!!!!...Let them know that you no longer believe what they believe..you are free and you don't love them any less...then that will teach them...sure to them you will be the plague and the heathen of the earth but u won't have to make any unecessary and inconvenient accomodations!
i actually went to the meeting this morning (okay, sumeone talked me into going)...........god it was boring.......something about jesus and the kingdom and frigging deuteronomy and hebrews and jeremiah-was-a-bullfrog...........and then they talked about old faithful: mathew 28:19 20 "go therefore and piss everyone off selling btochtower and asleep magazines to all the inhabitents of the earth.
an' look: i am with you every frigging saturday morning till the government bans your sorry asses.
i escaped after the first meeting and met the stares of several good christians wanting to know why i was leaving half way through......i told the asshole elder who followed me outside: " i've got my period!!

I thought that it was a requirement for them to be boring!! They are ALWAYS boring. I went to visit two years ago to the Memorial and to the meeting. Once my aunt kept calling me the prodigcal son, I knew I was through for good!!!! He came back for the well being of himself, I left for the well being of myself!!!!
during class the teacher asks "who all plan to go to college?

what about this...you know you are a jw teen when you are sent with a letter to school stating that you must miss your gradutation because you must attend the District Convention.....
i had the nights out on the beer with my "worldly" and sometimes witness mates having trouble turning them down.......i think that was probably my fall.
i could never resist a night out on the raz, trouble is they just happened night after night after night....etc.. beer beer beer.... .

well during my childhood years, i was the model JW....my mother called the school and sent me there with notes stating I won't participate in any pagan activities....but during my teen years, i abstained from nothing! I proudly led a double life......

i was just wondering if you still feel hurt or some kind of interior pain from your jw days or is it all passed and you have no more feelings towards this organization.... i still feel "hurt" and let down... .
afterall, they were friends, and now they just don't care anymore.
Although I miss my friends, I feel content knowing that the few I had are all free from the JW lifestyle....but I feel sorry for the ones who have closed their minds....I also pity for the hypocrites...they do all they can to proclaim themselves as "Christians" or the chosen ones, but they fail to realize that the guidelines they follow so closely are the exact things that are blocking their blessings and going against what God really wants them to do......

what odd, silly, embarassing, inappropriate or just plain weird announcements have you heard at meetings, conventions and assemblies?
I remember at the "Godly Devotion" convention years back..they told us to take our valuable belongings like cameras and purses, binoculars,etc. with us when we went to lunch or whatever....they warned us "Remember, everyone in attendance does not practice Godly Devotion"...WTF??.....what kinda mess is that? isn't that common sense....no need to announce it in this particular setting that there are boosters among us....that's everywhere you go....but they don't announce it...it's just a given!!!......

summer 1998. my wife and i, along with 2 other couples and a single sister spent a week-end at a cottage.we had lots of fun;swimming,hiking,telling jokes,playing music,enjoying meals together.all in all a very fun week-end(except when a few had a panic attack on sunday morning and absolutely had to leave to go to the meeting).anyways the rest of us cleaned up and went back to town for lunch.. fast-forward 6 years-summer 2004.
6 of those 7 are now inactive(the 7th might be,i'm not sure),2 are disfellowshipped,one couple is divorced,the other couple are having serious marital problems(separated for a while),the single sister got married and is now living a life of hell(married to a complete power-hungry freak).the only couple still together are my wife and i,me struggling to fade away from the jw's and her struggling to do more for the "truth".. anyways,my wife and i were thinking about that week-end at the cottage and saying how we could never be us 7 again there to enjoy another week-end like that.and to think,jw's are supposed to be the happiest people,you'd think this would have become an annual thing,not people leaving each other or just becoming more miserable as the years pass us by.. thought you might find this story interesting,and if you think about it,how many jw's can tell a similar story?
Since I left I couldn't be happier...unfortunately this is the way it usually goes.....
1 of my best ex JW friends lives a life of confusion, she was DF'd, had a baby, became very promiscuous, and has now relocated with her lesbian lover in Atlanta
My closest JW friend ever did some time for armed robbery and assault, he's now starting a new life w/o the organization....
Another friend graduated from college, got married and went back....I wish her the best of luck
One friend left his zealous parents, grew a beard and told everyone to kiss his a**, but he occasionally visits the hall...
everyone else, I've lost touch with, but all of my cousins on both sides of my familyside no longer participates in our parents religion....except for 2.....so the cycle repeats itself no matter where u are..I for one have never been happier!!!!!
