i have just been thinking about the "wait on jehovah doctrine" for a while because of the silentlambs fiasco and a thread started by you know.. i think that the jws have a certain amount of lead way when it comes to this teaching, i.e this wait on jehovah doctrine is not all bad because the bible teaches that you to trust in god and to have faith, which is totally understandable.. the bible further teaches that 'faith can move a mountain' but i dont think that this verse should be necessarily taken too literally because i dont know of anyone who has moved a mountain simply by faith alone.
but thats just me mabe some of you have move literal mountains simply by faith.. i think that scripture mostlikely refers to the problems in life that you have little controll of like can put food on the table, dont have a place to sleep and you just cant see a way out of your troubles so you put them in the hands of god and have faith that the lord will bring you through to see a brighter day.

i am not terribly shocked that the society, in its .
knorr/rehoboam wisdom, decided to repress whistleblowers.. nor am i surprized when the watchtower deceives, dissembles,.
misleads or quotes out of context.. but ask yourself a question:.
Metatron, I love your thought-provoking posts-heres my take on it.
As visible as JW's are in door-to-door activity, they have still been a "closed society." The cult control tactics have seen to this. But with the latest scandal, the world is gettng a peek inside. This is NOT a side of themselves the WTS ever wanted to be public.
Will someone on the "inside" panic? Hard to say, but the news coverage out here now opens up a realm of possibilities.
An insider may conclude, "Wow, the Pandelos, Bowen, Anderson-they are gettng lots of support-maybe its NOT so bad out there."
Who knows? ANYTHING can happen.

Ven.....nice work.
The great thing is that with all these newspapers online, one can write letters to the editor in so many areas of the country to express inerest in the story. I intend to send out as many letters as possible, not limiting myself to my own state or region. The more interest that is shown, the more exposure this issue gets.
Lets keep the ball rolling-why should the Catholic Church get ALL the ink? LOL

i sent it to kent.
the only thing that kept me going was the thought of what my suicide would do to my children for the rest of their lives.
i finally got the courage to seek help for that depression, and im fine now.. alanf and gedanken (two of my good friends) helped me out, and i am most grateful for that.
Hi Farkel, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I have enjoyed your postings since H2O. Yu always ct to the chase, and the best thing is:YOUR RESEARCH. You are excellent at it; always backing up what you say.
Glad to know that you are back on your feet.
Hell, if you are ever in NJ, I'll buy you a few lap dances at the strip joint I work in, and maybe even see if some babe can arrange a blow job. [8>]

well we got the phone call from the elder to let us know of the decision to disfellowship us.
the one elder called while the other sat on the phone as a "witness".
the second elder was once a close friend.
Barbara and family-You have touched us as well. Also, being here in NJ, I was wondering when the Star Ledger would pick up the story. I was getting pretty impatient, LOL, since I had emailed Bill Bowen's PRESS RELEASE earlier in the week. Glad to see that they are able to get the story in, and are doing proper research.
Hang in there, and thanks for keeping us posted on developments.

every time i hear the kingdumb cliche "wait on jehovah", i think of isaiah chapter 59. especially in light of the events of the past week, that is, the jc meetings for those simply wanting justice to come down on the most horrendous of wrongdoers in the organizaion, and the gross unwillingness of the society to provide such.. keep in mind that the key at the top of the nwt says, "confesses isreal's errors, sins, works".
here are some verses to think about.. vs. 3:for your own palms have become polluted with blood, and your fingers with error.
your own lips have spoken falsehood.
Scully..."Waiting on Jehovah" is definitely a ONE-WAY Street in the borg.
What I find is that it is a lame excuse for inaction by the hierarchy and/or elders who simply dont wan to correct a certain situation-usually the type of situation that puts egg on their faces.

happy mother's day!!!!

Here are some verses to think about.
vs. 3:For your own palms have become polluted with blood, and your fingers with error. Your own lips have spoken falsehood. Your own tongue kept muttering sheer unrighteousness.
vs. 4:There is no one calling out in righteousness, and no one at all has gone to court in faithfulness. There has been a trusting in ureality, and a speaking of worthlessness. There has been a concieving of trouble, and a bringing of what is hurtful to birth.
Verse 11, 14, 15a shows the result of these sinful actions.
vs. 11: We kep groaning, all of us, just like bears; and like doves we kept cooing. We kept hoping for justice, but there was none; for salvation, but it stayed far away from us.
vs. 14:And justice was forced to move back, and righteousness itself kept standing simply far off. For truth has stumbled even in the public square, and what is straightforward is unable to enter.
vs.15a:And the truth proves to be missing, and anyone turning away from badness is being despoiled.
One wonders how Jehovah looked at this particular situation. Verse 15b, 16a gives us a clue.
vs. 15b:And Jehovah got to see, and it was bad in his eyes THAT THERE WAS NO JUSTICE.
vs. 16a: And when he saw that there was no man, HE BEGAN TO SHOW HIMSELF ASTONISHED THAT THERE WAS NO ONE INTERPOSING[/i]
Interestingly, Jehovah wasnt astonished at the badness, but that there was NO ONE stepping in to administer justice. Why was this astonishing? Simply because He had put people in place in his organization back then to do so. He didnt expect anyone to wait for Him to step in. If an organization claims[/i] to represent Him, then those in authority are EXPECTED to administer proper justice.
So, anyone who is taking Bill Bowen, the Pandelo family, and Barbara Anderson to task for blowing the whistle on the WTS, GET A CLUE!!!

Barbara and Carl Pandelo of Belmar, New Jersey, had been awaiting a decision since Monday, when a judicial committee of the church met in New Jersey to consider ousting them, a practice which the denomination terms disfellowshipping.Boozy
"They've just made it official now," she said Friday night in a telephone interview.

Hi Barbara. I am touched deeply by your family's courage as you have struggled through such a horrible ordeal. I had the pleasure of reading Justin's absolutely excellent post earlier today, and I see where he gets it from. (smile)
...I realize it is they who are the ones who become apostate.
No truer words were ever spoken.
My heart goes out to your family. There is so much support on this board and it has helped so many see the truth about the WTS.
Also, thank you and your family for staying so strong in your fight. It gives us ALL stregnth.
