please, anyone who blames a person raised in the cult for having certain "issues " socially is just trying to cover up for the organization.Even the times I hung around with my "worldly " friends,I was still told,"don't get close to them, there going to die at armegeddon".The WTBTS is a twisted mental fuckfest for children. It stunts physical, mental and emotional growth.Anyone who says otherwise can kiss my white ass.

social retard
by MerryMagdalene ini finally figured out why i'm so socially retarded...it just hit me.. here i was sitting and wondering why i have such a hard time meeting new people, making friends, thinking of relevent things to say, and so on.
it really is painful and scary for me.
i was told who i could talk to, who i couldn't talk to, what i could say, what i couldn't say.

I liked the one that said"a person could be disfellowshipped for joining a government or organization that goes against godly order"or something like that.I wonder if the U.N.would fit that description!

An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...
by Doubtfully Yours inan elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

They called on me the other day,I believe this will happen. The old hard GB is going to draw a mean line in the sand. This will convince die hards that its "the truth".It will also bring moderates to there senses.
sly foxes,they are!!!!!!!!!

If JWs Are A Cult, I Believe Roman Catholicism Is Too
by minimus ini believe that jehovah's witnesses are a "cult".
to be a "good roman catholic" you have to be "cultic", that's for sure!
their beliefs and practices, rites and ceremonies are simply weird!

I agree with funnyderek,It doesn't matter what you call it.Any fanatical religous person is stupid. It is the effects that it has on "loved ones" around them that concerns me.The 2 rerligions have serious flaws in them.Witnesses are judgemental and picky, and get involved in your life.RC generally serve out of duty and it doesn't effect thier daily life.
If only people could decide whats right and wrong without the middle man,we'd all be better off.

I guess terry shiavo and her family are the only people who face tradgedy in thier lives.I'm usually pretty liberal, but ,there are far more important issues out there. It is ashame a woman was cut down in her prime, but that is life. She has not reponded in 6 years or something. How can anyone politizize such an issue.
The only way to stop this,is when someone turns 18,they must file if they want to live or die after X amount of time in a vegative state or x amount of money in that state.
I hate to say it,but it';s her time to go.IMO

WTBTS=relationship thief
by stopthepain in.
how many of you out there have ever wondered "how many people did i never get to meet because of being a witness".. i for one, being raised ina ultra conservative jw family ask myself that.. everytime you missed out on various activities{outside the org},you miss out the chance of meeting great, interesting people.i for one don't have 1 friend left from the religion.so even if i met just 1 person that made a difference in my life,it would have been worth more than all that wasted time.. the wtbts knows what strings to pull to keep you from thinking outside the jw box.they destroy relationships before you could ever imagine begginning one..

Is the Society's message to JW's getting stronger?
by truthseeker induring a dinner conversation with a loyal jw, he mentioned that the society seems to be making stronger statements to jw's.
he mentioned the "keep on the watch" brochure, and how it seemed to be for jw's as well as the public.
he acknowledged the "personal questions" the society were asking us, in the brochure - how pointed and direct they are, even asking you to rank your physical and spiritual activities on a scale of 1 to 10. .
