i told my mother that i do not desire to be associated with jws anymore and
by drunkenpikachu inshe totally flipped out.
all i was trying to do was find some mutual respect for my decision but she started smacking, punching, pushing me.
soon after, she threw the biggest tantrum and it disgusted me to see her acting in such a manner.

How do you know when your spouse is cheating on you?
by Thegoodgirl inokay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.
i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.
it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.

OOH,you have majors. How impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!People the the right to not be lied to.The Org will never admit anything.Just come out and say your not gods channel.Stop the charade, the predictions, the sketchy history,pyrimiads,1914,144000,un,blood doctrine, false predictions, molestation accusations, disfellowshipping, way to much literature, way to many meetings, elders wielding false immoral power,no checks and balances, stunted emotional growth, fear and guilt scare tactics used to make children believe,no o9utside thought, judging in spirit anyone who isn't a JW,They are just like the pharissees in the bible. All organized religion sucks.Jehovahs witness sucks reall bad.stp
PS-catholism doesn't require you believe in hell, and they do not preach it as such.Witnesses pick on them for changing thier beliefs, and having "sacred secrets",HEY<WTBTS,you don't have to know everything, especially when you have to twist lies into more lies!!!

We picketed the Memorial, What a blast !!!
by Junction-Guy inthis is my first chance to post here since last thursday, so here it is.
amanda and i arrived at approximately 5:45 pm, and parked in the walmart parking lot.
amanda bought a folding chair and something to eat, as she just got off work.. we walked across the street to the kingdom hall and stood on the shoulder of the road.

great job junction guy.I think your starting what may become commonplace. The religion has hurt enough people, that if we start to band together IN NUMBERS,we can do some good.I've often dreamed of the day ,when a group of us{xjw}with me included ,makes a public info line, and show that we are people, not some creepy, demon possesed apostates.
Also,I'm in the Teamsters Union, ive done a few public info line. The police cannot make you leave,AS LONG AS YOUR MOVING,you walk in a circle, then they cant claim your stopping traffic. You have a right to walk up and down the street, and a group of people makes it alot easier. They can arrest 1 "nutjob, bitter, demon posseses apostate",but I'd like to see them remove 100-200 people!!!!!!!
Anyway,great job,I applaude you,I hope I would have the courage.Thanks all of you.stp

Question for those raised a JW
by New Worldly Translation ini was wondering if anybody feels like i do that if i hadn't been raised a jw i would never have embraced the religion.
i know it's easier to say in hindsight after i know the truth about the org but honestly i don't think i would have given them the time of day.
i'm not a religious person or even a spiritual person and being a jw always caused a conflict in my mind.

When I first read that,I thought of my parents lives.{22 years old when they converted to The org}lost ,without loving familie, came from abuse, mental and physical.
We all need to "break the cycle" of abuse.stp

Did You Feel Superior To Those People Who Only Ever Came To The Memorial?
by Englishman inwe did.. we used to call them "memorial saints".
they were the fringe members, the fallen away, the disfellowshipped, those who had their own private pipeline to jehovah, bible studies, good-will, disinterested husbands, delinquent kids, prophets, lunatics and uncle tom cobley and all.. in short, all the weirdo's that could be mustered together on just one night of the year.
but it got the numbers up.

Leaving on your own terms!!!!!
by researcher inhow about leaving on your own terms!!!!
you go to the sunday meeting or theo school and service meeting... and when there is an opportunity to comment.. you raise your hand.. and the diligent brother [servant wanna a be] brings over the microphone and you say.. " i just wanted to make it clear that i "...." no longer want to be identified as one of jehovah's witnesses's connected with the watchtower tower society, and then you get up, click your heels, give everyone a farewell salute..... and leave the building singing some neil young tune...... :) has anyone done that?
should we start doing that?

This is one of the only reason they WON'T attempt to disfellowship everyone on the outskirts.
I swear if they try,I will be at that meeting, and I will speak my mind!!!!!!!!!!They don't want you to be in control of leaving the religion. They want to control the process, not the individual.
I dare the WTBTS to disfellowship me!
They either want you to feel like your being punished, and you have to "work your way back in",you know,6 months sitting in the back, leaving and arriving during the song, everyone treating you like a leper, all in the name of "keeping gods publishing company,I mean faith clean.Or they want you to leave quietly, totally detachted,so you can't tell people why,or how your feeling. And then they label you from the pklatform, and the gullible ,naive, ignorant, eat it up-------like a vanilla swiss miss pudding washed down by a shasta cola.
