  jw1983 - jws are not false prophets .

  jehovahs witnesses, in their eagerness for jesus second coming, have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect.

  Something I noticed in the famous "1975" Watchtower article...

  i decided to read for myself the articles my father and mother were reading during this interesting time in witness history.

  i stumbled upon the following paragraph that scared the bejeezus out of me: .

  "one thing is absolutely certain, bible chronology reinforced with fulfilled bible prophecy shows that six thousand years of mans existence will soon be up, yes, within this generation!

  seeing that it was not the word of God that failed or deceived him and brought disappointment, but that his own understanding was based on wrong premises.

  noone said it was the 'word of god that failed' it was YOU the GB. arrrgh!

  coming across as defending the bible and god, the bible doesnt say 75, YOU do.

  Anyone else see this in the Blood video?

  well after expressing my concern to family members about the blood issue ive received my copy of the transfusion alternatives 'documentary series' dvd in the mail.. about 10 mins into it i realise their catchcry of 'simple safe and effective' is what the doctors a refferring to ways to 'minimise blood loss' and lessen the need for transfusions, not that bloodless surgery period is 'simple safe and effective'.

  i think we'd all agree that blood has been overused around the world, and its has some complications, but its the best weve got and it saves lives.

  i mean all these doctors are talking about is ways to minimise the need for transfusions, and stating possible complications as a reason to use these blood loss minimisation tequniques.. it was tough sitting through the whole thing..

  the same amount as the settlement?.

  are they selling the properties to appear cash-poor.

  No I dont know what the settlement was, I thought it would be approx that ammount, the properties theyre selling amount to 65mil? so im guessing theres a ballpark.

  My Username was originally 'lifes a garden so dig it' all one word which noone understood as lifesagardensodigit. A few months later i attended englishmans bbq where i asked Simon if i could change it. he said sure send me a pm. I said I wanted to be the heretic after the 'heretic leader' from the video game halo 2, if anyone knows that storyline its pretty fitting. just2laws chimes in with hmm i think all those good ones are taken. anyway turns out its free and now me and i love being the heretic. My avatar is a symbol from a hard core punk band in Australia called mid youth crisis. its on their album covers and the singer has it tattooed on his forearm.
