They probably would say that's not good enough. She needs to come inside and show repentance for what she's done. It's too bad she can't just see through the lies.

Good call Taylor. I just can't help it sometimes. Even though I am DA'd now, I still have some pent up hate for them. I have to agree that I've seen crazier religions. I just haven't been affected by them.

Question for those raised a JW
by New Worldly Translation ini was wondering if anybody feels like i do that if i hadn't been raised a jw i would never have embraced the religion.
i know it's easier to say in hindsight after i know the truth about the org but honestly i don't think i would have given them the time of day.
i'm not a religious person or even a spiritual person and being a jw always caused a conflict in my mind.

I know if I was not born a JW, that I would have laughed at them and shut the door. However, when it's all you know growing up casting it aside can be very difficult. It's really strange when you look back, and you say wow I wish I would have just left so long ago.

I think the Williams sisters are alright. It's not their fault they were born into the stupidist religion known to this earth. It probably will be fairly entertaining. I hope it makes the JW's look even stupider.

Sport: bringing out the worst in JWs
by Pleasuredome inin my time involved with the jws, i used to play a lot of football nearly every week with the bros. i used to find it amazing and laughable how some, including elders, would start name calling and getting aggresive, sometimes to the point of making threats.
it made me realise that football and other sports can show the true character of individuals.
has anyone here experienced things like this when playing sports with jws?

I love playing sports. But playing sports with the JW's wasn't even fun for me. They were always over-competitive jerks. I go out and play basketball all summer on the playground and have a damn good time. But as soon as I have to play with some JW ass... it becomes un-fun. They always act like it's O.K. when they talk trash, but as soon as you taunt them back, then you get reported to the elders. God how I hate them.

Well... I'm busted this time
by 24k ini think i may have just precipitated my exit from the watchtower a little sooner than i expected.
i was really looking forward to attending easter services at a local church today, and so made arrangements to ride with a friend of mine and his wife.
my friend is a recently disfellowshiped former fellow elder.

24K, I wish you nothing but the best. It's a tough situation that you are in. I wish I had many words of wisdom for you, but I feel that you seem to have much more life experience than myself. I did agree with Jeannie's advice though. It was very level headed. Just remember that the JW's do not own you. They always want to control you. But life goes on. Hopefully your wife loves you and trusts you, and will see the wise choice you are making by leaving this false religion behind. Good luck.

My Update with the Memorial
by whyamihere inwell....i went and i made it there just in time and i sat in the middle.
i had my aunt and uncle save seats so i did not have to talk with anyone to get a seat.
i sat down and i felt better .....i made it.
