As for philanthrophic work I volunteer for many worthwhile causes and non profit foundations helping with hunger, medical, and environmental needs.

I met Wilbur Lingle this past weekend in Pennsylvania. Mr. Lingle was a very nice man and I can assure you that he is not getting rich off of his ministry. If anything, he is probably making sacrifices in order to get the word out about the JW cult. His books are nicely written and have been instrumental in helping myself and many others to talk to JWs.
designs, I suggest you get off your bottom and do something with your life instead of sitting around and criticizing someone who sacrifices their time and resources to help others.

That's probably the only new light that would cause a mass exodus. Most elders I know are closet alcoholics. We found out a couple years ago that my JW pioneer brother-in-law keeps a scotch bottle under his bathroom sink. He must be pretty bad off if he couldn't use the bathroom without taking a drink. This is the guy who always tries to tell us how happy he is in Jehovah's organization.
being a born-in i don't have much friends, in or out of the org., add to that the fact that i have been a stay at home mom for the last 4 years has made it even harder to meet anyone.
(i found out the truth about the wts shortly after deciding to stay home).

bit fed up tbh , the recent lies and slander levelled against me which has remained unanswered has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, plus probably spending a little bit too much time on web forums, see you all in a while.
JB, I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. There is no excuse for her actions and I hope that she is dealt with soon because it sets a bad tone for the board. I don't blame you for wanting a little break but please come back soon.
My opinion is that AE is nothing but a lying little troll. I have serious doubts that she was ever even a JW. The girl didn't even know what a territory card was!!!! I have a feeling that this is just another "Trevorgate".

oompa, I'm glad that you found a way to make the Serenity prayer work for you. I imagine it must be difficult to go through those AA programs when you don't pray or believe in higher power. It shows a lot of character to be able to find a way to make it work despite that. Keep up the good work!

in fact, angel eyes (after she told us about her encounter with a man who had been "dabbling in black magic and witch craft",) made this comment:oh and i dont fear jah....why on earth would i fear my loving father?.
now to be fair to angel eyes, she says she doesn't fear satan.
