dear concerned forum posters:

i feel at this time, in my long and varied career here at the forum, i must protest to the exalted and respected administator of this site, that a problem does exist in it's "labeling" of posters.

this concerns the titles that are given to posters when they reach a certain amount of posts.

The labels caught me eye too lassie.

I thinks we should let the governing body of the dubposts ( the ruling class elite that pull our threads when they don't agree with their agenda) consider each poster individually and by letter of recommendation and appoint them to an appropriate label by an anointed vote so that all labeled individuals are truly appointed after prayerful or playful consideration. Then a letter of status ship could be posted to the whole ~~congre~~

WorldWideWeb or this website because in the grand scheme of the WWW everything that occurs on this message board has been foretold to fullfill prophecy and is definitely pointed to in scripture. (if you knew anything about the codedbible.If you don't agree with me just ask prophecor. I think he is the One.

? Need fellowship with ex-Dubs . Is there a WS by geographical location ?

i have managed to meet up with 3 ex w in houston tx and through the grapevine have heard there are at least 150 active in houston area .... any way you know of to start bringing those together.

is there a message or post board that is primarily geographical in nature?

Perhaps we need to pass out flyers or go door to door to find ex-Jw"'s. Hey we could put out a monthly newsletter to those that would be interested. Come to meetings with ex-Dubs !>>>>>>>>>>>>>. THen we could get a whole lot of ex-dubs together and assign talks to be given explaining why the Truth is Not.Then we could have Ex-Dub conventions and assemblies and go to coffe shops together and...............................................................ahh , it is happinin all over again! OR we could tell others about Jesus CHrist and then when they accept Him as their Savior, we would have friends . Well in Utopia , but seriously there are good things about debriefing from the Dubs.

According to the infallible Word of God and the absolute without a doubt, according to all available evidence, absolutely without a doubt, indeed and undoubtedly we are already in that time and to be sure all available evidence points to the fact that 2005 will be followed by 2006. (But we do not say that we are prophets and even though some may have read much into it , in their eagerness to see it happen may have made some statements to the effect that 2006 has already arrived we at this time believe that it is not our place to set-dates as some of Christendom has done and shown themselves to be false prophets.Therefore Knowing the time we are in and that by 2006 or even October of 2005 that this World will be to dangerous for anyone to live in would in not be the time in accordance with Bible chronology that the internet is the Beast who was, and is not and who will be again? Yes indeed!

If a close member of your family had been treating you like dirt, would you pray that God bless them or take care of them or would you pray that he curse them? Did He do either? Which one?

Have you ever had a physical ailment that you prayed specifically that God would heal that ailment? Did He heal it?

If your vehicle that you go to work in kept breaking down , Would you pray that God would fix the problem or that He would supply you with a way to work? Did He?

Has your car ever not started and you prayed for it to please start? Did It?

Have you ever thought about a close friend that you had not seen in a long time , then prayed that you would hear from them soon? Did it happen?

Have you ever had the urge to suddenly write to someone that you had not written to in a long time and them shortly after you wrote to them they died. And your words were just what they needed to hear?

Have you ever prayed that it not rain in a certain place on a certain day? For instance a wedding day or a special planned event? Did it rain?

one more,, Have you ever spent more than 15 minutes Just Praising God , Not asking anything Just Praising Him for who he is?

Love & Marriage: Easier w/JW-Out or Non-Believer?

many of us have spouses within & outside of the borg.

others are married to those who never shared our beliefs.

for those who are no longer practicing jw's, how are you navigating your relationships with your spouses or signifigant others?

I was a JW when I married Velma in 1988 and I had married her after much prayer and seeking Godly direction. We were good for each other and during our marriage I reached Ministerial Servant status (if that means anything) Velma was an ideal JW wife . She had grown up Catholic till she was about 14 and accepted JW as truth by the time she was 16. /She was respectful to me and If I made a decision that did not set right with her . she could tactfully explain her resistance and/or alternative idea. If I decided to exercise my husbandly authority and go forward with my decision, she would respectfully let me lead.

As time progressed (another 12 years , I began to have doubts about JW and their treatment of other bro and sis. Velma exp. some of these strange happenings as we were on an assembly hall project for 7 months. I stopped going to meetings and after about a year she stopped going . She then begin to do self-therapy to deal with abuse of her childhood by lack of att. of her father and verbal abuse of her mother.

After 2 years of that she decided to divorce me ( I was drinking pretty heavy at that time but she had no grounds. After 6-8 weeks of seperation at her choice she recanted, By this time she was agreeing that Jw were controlling and did not want to be controlled anymore. Within a year from that time I began to look into other Christian denominations and began attending other churches. I would not discuss what I was learning or experienceing there with her (I did not want to affect her decisions of who and where to serve God.

While I kept praying and doing homeless ministry she was becoming colder and colder to me . After about a year of that she hardly gave me the time of day, within a couple of months of this behavior I succumbed to immorality ( not adultery but classed as fornication. I could not tell her for 2 wks but when I did she certainly took the opportunity to get me out and within 2 months she became highly active within JW's again. She would not take me back even thougH I tried for about 13 months. I began to pursue a Christian woman I had met in the non-denomination Christian church I went to (after V. divorced me) I am very happy now with my new spouse but I am still getting through JW ingrained beliefs and she does not fully understand that . I have been spending hours at a time on the computer researching and responding and reading a lot or ex-Jw postings to aid to recovery. I think it was good that I married a Christian though because we engage in ministry together ,church together ,study and pray together. It has been near sheer bliss. Thanks for asking. I really feel there must be comminality of deep beliefs.

Your opinions.....please!

i'm asking your opinion today and probably venting my spleen a little as well, i'm afraid.. we all agree, i've noticed that shunning, for the jw reasons is wrong and even downright wicked.. however, my husband will no longer speak to or acknowledge his parents, after years of being a very good, infact, too good a son to them.. i posted a while ago about the ongoing problem with our jw families.

we wanted to take in my husbands very elderly grandfather but his parents would not allow it because we are faded jws.

we found a letter while reading through grandpa's cards in which, my mother-in-law had slandered us terribly and my family.

Gill, I digested your story into my heart and at first thought : BE the way Christ would be. But I also recognize that some people have evil intents and cannot be trusted. I am a minister of a homeless ministry that deals with at many times untrustworthy people and am constantly trying to evaluate whether or not this person or several persons at one time are telling me the truth about a situation.

In all cases Gill the word of God is the Word we need at the time we need it. (not the GB word) Jesus words and even more so the Mind of Christ. While practical suggestions i.e., letters, lawyers,loopholes,licenses,leeriness and just plain luck each have their place ( be cautious as serpents yet innocent as doves has very valuable urgings for us. I urge you as the Apostle Paul urged us to make every matter a matter of prayer. Our father loves you as his children and really wants the best for you, your Grandpa and your relatives. Ask the Lord to work out this situation for you and really trust in Him to do just that. The only thing that holds us back from complete trust in the Lord is fear.

That may be fear of loss, fear for our reputation, fear of judgement by others, fear of failure, even fear that what we do is not enough. Perfect Love however has no fear. Perfect Love throws fear out.

Jesus wants your relationship with him to be the most important thing He is in no way like the imperfect men and organizations that purport to propound him. Taste and SEE that the Lord is Good. Gethsemane like prayer will give you God's assurance that he is listening and putting circumstances into action even before you kneel before Him. I know you will be blessed by putting Him first even in every decision you make about your Grandpa and even ask your Grandpa if you can pray with him. Your prayers will give him peace and clarity. May God,s goodness flow through the Holy Spirit to you.The prayers of a righteous man availith much. You are the righteousness of God if you have given your life to the Lord. Taste and see that the Lord is Good!! He loves you and will never let you down.

do you remember what book and when the earliest application of this scripture to the president of the society and i think the vice president occurred ?

i believe they said it occurred in 1918 or 1919. can you believe they thought the nations and all the earth were attuned to their little group and that a couple of them thrown in prison meant that they had fullfilled this prophecy.
