Poor medical service and other rant-worthy issues
by kwintestal ini'm really pissed off at our medical services in nova scotia right now.
in janurary i was in a car accident on my way to work.
someone couldn't see me driving down the road over a 5 foot high snowbank and instead of inching out to see if it was clear, he gunned it into the front of my car.

Well, the only advice I can give is the next time you're in emergency, tell them you have chest pain (that moves you to the top of the que).

Listen to the Rat "Speak" !!!!!!!!!!!
by JH insassy had a great idea, when she recorded her voice and let us all listen to it.
a few weeks ago, i was talking over the phone with another poster, and she told me that after seeing my pictures, she didn't expect my voice to sound like this.
so, now it's my turn .

JH,
You sound like some of the guys on CBC radio, you should work there.
And who knows, you may become the Governor-General one day.

What's your favorite classical music?
by DanTheMan inof course beethoven's fifth is tops for me, and the ninth close behind.
also sprach zarathustra - strauss.
fanfare for the common man - aaron copeland (what a nice thing that was for him to dedicate such a great piece of music to plebeians like me *sniff*).

- Ravel's "Bolero"
Funny thing is that Ravel made Bolero as a little ditty, he was bothered that it became so famous over his other works that he was so proud of.

god created man....
by BlackSwan of Memphis inthen he created woman...... so maybe i'm a little late on this topic but..... after looking into sooooooooo many different religions, it finally occurred to me that........ why would god create 2 of each kind to procreate, then create man by himself and then as afterthought, woman?
hm.
1 man - 1 woman = no life on earth.

by AuntieJane inhi, i posted earlier "taking bets" about the jws serving a funeral dinner for my jw aunt in the local presby church.
the majority of those who answered was right...no, they are not able to do that, surprize surprize!
we are having our own family dinner in my uncle's home.

I remember the one for my grandmother: seven family members, a lawyer, a piper, and a minister. Pretty depressing, moreso than a regular funeral

i highly doubt that. you're 10 years younger than me and you're always giving me a run for my money.
How 'bout this: I a'int too interested in science. It was those science courses I took last semester that really brought down my average (sure, I could have paid more attention...).
Actually, I was quite interested in physics. In grade 10, I was in a "special" class where we started to do quantum and nuclear physics. It was pretty interesting, but I couldn't continue in physics b/c I didn't have the space in my timetable (band was worth it though; it was like the class equivalent of Animal House).
