....what's a memorial?
Lol. Or you could say, "I was reading my bible and it said that we were supposed to break bread until Jesus comes. So I figured, if he came in 1914..."
you are fading, and dont want your friends / family from out of town to know that you no longer want to be a jw.
they may know that you are not going to all the meetings, or not.
but since the biggest deal to them has been the memorial, they expect that you went.. we did not go.

do you believe in christianity, the bible, god-----or are you in the "i'm not sure what to think" class?
Why not? I'm not going to let an upbringing in a cult predispose me towards a mechanical, unintellectual hate of organized religion. No, that's saved for the WTS.
.
although i don't go to meetings anymore, i usually go to the memorial.
but this year, i couldn't go even if i wanted to..... my jw clothes don't fit me anymore.... i certainly won't spend 200$ just to go to one meeting.....
Mine don't fit at all. Of course, the last time I got new JW gear was around 14 or younger.
many use their avatar as an indication of their personality.. how about your computer screen?
what do you have for a background and does it make a statement about you?.
i like to change mine every week or so.
Disputa, by Raphael.
i'm fairly new here, so please excuse me if this has been discussed before.
it seemed like an appropriate time to bring this up.. suppose we accept that there really was a man jesus, rabbi, teacher, etc., but just a mortal man.
so if he didn't resurrect, what happened to the body, and how was the "myth" of the resurrection perpetuated, especially in light of the numerous "witnesses" (some of whom were still alive when the accounts were written, if we can believe that part of the accounts) and the effect this had on their lives?
Yeah, I heard about the dematerialize thing too. Doesn't make any sense, especially when you read the bible.
.
after reading this i'm certain he did attend.
note the comments about being a jw and jehovah god
"Elizabeth Taylor used to feed me, to hand-feed me, at times," he said.
If I may say so, Michael Jackson is one sick f*&^.
I believe in 'proper' English Badger.
Sir Awex Ferguson, Graeme Souness, George Graham, Dennis Law, Sir Matt Busby, Billy Bremner, Davie Moyes, Kenny Dalgliesh, Alan Hansen, and of course Glasgow Celtic were the first UK side to win a European Cup (unfortunately). Who could forget Jim Baxter's keepy uppie in the 1967 victory? I would go on but that would be just rubbing it in - - -LOL
Are you saying you like the Rangers? Hopefully not, we all know Glasgow Celtic is the best club in Europe!
And Canada lost, 4-1.
