RM's Book thread was never meant to provoke debate, but it was satirical rhetoric. What's the point of an Apologist responding on that thread when RM is clearly preaching to the choir.

Running Man's Book
by startingover ini find it interesting now that quite a few chapters of runningman's book are now posted that they are so avoided by the christians on this board.
at least it sure seems that way as few if any comments are made by them.. if there is a christian apologists thread started, the athiests are usually there posting because they have a reasonable argument and can debate it.
apparently for the christians there is no way to do that with runningman's writings.

Happy Planet is pretty good. They make fruit salads and pure fruit drinks.

No problem. I enjoy apartame myself, so I'll just cut back the aspartame yoghurt and it should all be good.

You are aware that the aspartame-story is a hoax?
There was actually a reputable study recently. Aspartame in high amounts seems to cause lymphoma.

Early Christian Worship
by the_classicist ini think ~150 a.d. is early enough for debunking any wt position: .
"and this food is called among us eukaristia [the eucharist], of which no one is allowed to partake but the man who believes that the things which we teach are true, and who has been washed with the washing that is for the remission of sins, and unto regeneration, and who is so living as christ has enjoined.
for not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as jesus christ our saviour, having been made flesh by the word of god, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of his word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that jesus who was made flesh.

I'm not sure where you heard that but his book "Orthodox Corruption of Scripture" demonstrates the opposite. There he shows how we can identify dozens if not hundreds of amendments made so late in the tradition that can find them though textual criticism alone.
If you read my sentence, I said "concerted effort." By that I mean a conspiracy that many, especially neo-Gnostics, allege.
