how rediculous is this?!?!.

can't the government get simple staffing right?.

i don't think asking or expecting community support officers to do anti-terrorism duty is wise or sensible and those on duty should not be doing long shifts.

Our transit cops have guns, but that doesn't mean you can find one when you have to.

To ride the SkyTrain in Vancouver at night is one of the surest ways to motivate you to learn to drive a car. The fact that there is no fare-checking means that anyone can get on, especially criminals (that's why the local cops call it the CrimeTrain). Add to that druggies and mentally unstable homeless people and one's safety is always at threat.

The politicians won't do anything either because Canada, as a nation, is apathetic.

The "love lost" feeling is simply our instincts informing us that we should reacquire the lost mate or find another.

Be glad your transit system has police on it.

Mine doesn't even have a fare-checking system in place (it's the "honour system"). You can just walk right on to a train without even paying for a ticket. Good luck if you can find a transit cop either, as they're usually just hanging out in the main security offices or talking with the unarmed security guards (which don't do anything except call the police in a bad situation) around the stations.

think of it as a 'new age' camp for adults.

lots of authors, actors and well known 'new age' types give seminars there.

If I remember correctly, the term "Omega Point" was first used by Jesuit professor Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

i think creationist are ruled by emotion and not by provable facts.

WHO created GOD. The every reason you will not believe in evolution is because you say someone had to create us.The same argument is back at you. Who created GOD someone had to. Don't tell me he allway exsisted. I can say life allways exsisted on one planet or another life has allway been there. This does not make sense does it so neither does GOD always exsisted. It seems to me Both sides have one and the same problem. THE BEGINNING>

I believe the argument would work thusly:

1) Everything that has a beginning has a mover..

2) God/Ineffable deity has no beginnning; therefore, there is no need of a mover, or primary cause.

You will then say, that we cannot prove that God has no beginning. Such a thing cannot be proven scientifically; of course, neither can the primary premise of Christian revelation: 1) There is a God. How then is man to know it? A Christian (assuming the above question is proposed to such a person) would answer that man knows it by God's self-revelation made fully manifest when his Son, who is both God and the Son of God consubstantial with the Father, became man and took upon Himself human nature which exists within His godhead in hypostatic union. By His Resurrection from death, he revealed himself in glory to his Apostles.

Then you will ask, if God wanted us all to know that he exists, why didn't he reveal himself at all times to everyone?

God requires faith, for faith is an act of free will. For God to manifest himself in a way to convince every individual would negate free well (presumably). Faith is both an action of the intellect, by receiving what we have heard through the testimony of the Apostles and their disciples, and an action of God's grace, which allows faith to flourish.

It's a green book where a two couples (one JW) are having a discussion, it's probably the one you're thinking of.

For forty years prior to 1914 they had been pointing to this date through Scriptural developments. Evolution, in terms of genetic change and improvement, is definitely proven.

Neo-Darwinism is debatable. Macroevolutionary jumps (hopeful monsters) would certainly explain the gaps in evolution, but I think the Darwinist school of thought has already thrown out this hypothesis (there was a good reason too, but I forget it).
