See, daughter took a 3 1/2 hour nap and no wetting of the bed. I praised her and she smiled and hugged me saying "tank you...ahhh, tank you". She's so proud of herself when she wakes up dry and no diapers/pull-ups.

Potty training kids and different views...
by FreedomFrog inwhen i was growing up, i remember my parents would put those plastic "cover" things over my sisters panties and put those protective sheets on the bed to help them with potty training.
especially when they were doing great with using the potty on their own during the daytime.. my aunt in texas would beat her kids arses if they wet the bed.
(now i do not agree with this way).

It will work out. 100/90% is pretty awesome!
Thank you, I think it will work out too. It's just the stress of trying to get ones that are caretakers to get on the same page to make it less confusing for my little girl.
The next thing I will need to train her from is her binky. I have a feeling I'll have a fight on this too and not only with my daughter refusing to give it up but with the other side of the caretakers. I would like to say "ok, until she's trained, I can't have you take her right now"...I won't do that ever buts it's a feeling I'd love to say.
The binky will be another day's battle.

Those REVELATION BOOK changes in full
by AlphaOmega ina recent thread ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/139118/1.ashx ) raised the issue of charles taze russell not being the first president of the watchtower... it appears to be an argument of semantics because the society had a different name (as one poster pointed out in the thread).
the watchtower society obviously has some embarassment over this issue because the amendments to the revelation book dealt with this :.

This is interesting because I found an article on their site claiming "The Society's first president, C. T. Russell, died in 1916 and was succeeded the following year by Joseph F. Rutherford." It's under the article "Their Modern Development and Growth". I'm hoping this link will take you there. If not, I searched under "presidents" and got the article. It claims it was published in 2000. So I wonder why the change.

Adding; it's under the title The Year 1914, 6th paragraphs down.

Scream when Raped...
by KW13 inthought i'd bring this up again, i found it on the watchtower library and thought it was extremely annoying how they can say rubbish like this.. rape has become increasingly common today.
a major reason seems obvious.
sex and violence explode from tv and movie screens, from radio, newspapers, magazines and billboards.

It was then that I remembered the scripture in Deuteronomy chapter 22. It says that if a woman does not cry out when attacked, it indicates she is submitting to the man and is committing a sin against Jehovah.
I had a friend that went through something like this. She blanked in and out while it was happening. Because she didn't scream, the elders were trying to say it was consensual. I felt bad for her because she almost was disfellowshipped and almost lost her husband. The elders were telling her husband that he had the option of divorcing. She had to prove her innocence which took her 2 weeks of going through hell (when she needed support) but she finally convinced them that she had no control.
Makes me angry when I think about that story.

I have to admit, I've changed names...left out things... or other small stuff to not be found out. Though I do keep the post as truthful as possible even when changing names. Even at that I feel like I'm "lying" because the names have been changed.
I've let a couple other posters know the kind of things I've fibbed about and they will concur that it wouldn't make a lick of difference to the "spirit of the post".
That made me feel better because the posts that I've posted are with the same "spirit of the post".
