i got divorced from my jw wife, of 25 years, after living with another woman for almost 1.5 years [knew her for 3 years] .
the divorce that was my doing was last dec. 06. the divorce went through but all the financial settlements have yet to be agreed on.
Are you sure you're in love with HER and not just the kids/friends/stability? I ask this because you can cause her more hurt if she takes you back and think things are going to get better only to be back in this situation. You really need to make sure it is her that you love and not the stability that you lost.

according to the flock book updates - 2003 for page 133 an "unbeliever" is an unbaptised person.
it goes on further to state that should a dedicated, baptised christian choose to marry an "unbeliever", his/her parents (whether elder, ministerial servant or pioneer) should not give "tacit approval"to the marriage... moral support, financial support for wedding, reception etc.. .

"hypocritical" being "falsely claiming high principles" whereas "hypercritical" is "excessively critical".

I think it's kinda hypercritical (I think that's the word I'm wanting here).
(First situation)
Elder- "sorry, but you can't have a wedding because your fiance' isn't baptised and you are.
(Second situation)
Elder- "sure, since you both are unbaptised, we'll let you wed in the KH".

That's just wrong...and sounds so prejudice.
long before we 'figured it out', i think we were tiring of the whole routine and demands, though we could not admit such openly, even to each other for the most part.
but i recall occasionally 'oversleeping', and in some cases i had woke early enough but just intentionally let time go by and got up 'running late'.
our family 'tradition' was to stop for breakfast at a local restuarant on the way to the kh.
Yeah, many times I played hooky...even when we had the bookstudy at our home. How did I play "hooky" during the study at my home...I have a bad headache or flu and sit upstairs watching TV with earphones. Our upstairs had 2 full bathrooms. My bedroom was as big as a living room so I had set up a coffee maker and some snacks next to one of the chairs.
We had the bookstudy in our house for over 2 years and by the ending of it, I was getting so sick of it that I missed more and more of them. Either I was upstairs or I was "out" and couldn't get home soon enough for the studies.
Edit: my "bathroom to bedroom"...my bedroom was as big as a living room...not the bathroom...lol
well almost anyway cuz i'm still here.
all the kids have left for school and hubby has gone to a doctor appointment.
i think i have maybe an hour to myself.. this coffee is good.
If you are drinking coffee, chances are you are not lounging about naked...

People believe everything. And they all have their evidences.
Yes, I agree, that's what I've been seeing. It doesn't matter "what" they believe, it seems that when they believe in something they can "prove" it. I just think it's interesting.
