So now we're even scrutinizing why people change their e-mail addresses?

a sister sent me this email yesterday; notice her new email address, and why she changed it.

Gail Bethea-Jackson video has been removed
by dust inhttp://www.jw-media.org/newsroom/index.htm?content=../vnr/index.htm.
there used to be three videos under "child abuse" in the right column.
the one that isn't linked from there anymore is the "progressive understanding" video.

Haven't you guys heard that the WTS is using ex-CIA hackers and Israeli software to break in our computers at this very moment? FatFreek that would explain why your firewall alarm went off on that exact moment. If I were you I would take my hard drive and smash it to pieces before they can access all your secret files.

Four years late. Just watched Passions of the Christ. I have a question
by shopaholic inas you know this movie was banned for jws.
any faithful witness would not watched a non-jw bible movie (even though they do it all the time but that's a different subject.
) i watched it this pass week over a couple of days.

It was banned? Guess, was just in your congregation then from an overzealous person. I know of tons of people in my families congregation saw it, even bought it.

A lot of good things when I was in. There were some sincere and honest people in my congregation. I can honestly say that I had some good friends when I was in. They were always there when asked for help and even when they weren't asked they were always offering their help. Helped me many times. Of course just like any other religion there was a lot of bad things.

E-mail from friend alerting me to emergency instruction from GB
by Wasanelder Once inhere's a paragraph from a friend who is active.
they say it's important that we fill out this form about emergencies... poor fools.
"hi, i have been meaning to tell you that the society is telling us to fill out an emergency form that the book study conductors have and return it to them in case of an emergency.they will then give us a brochure to have that will tell us where to meet and what to have in our bags so we can grab them and leave in a hurry.

MidwichCuckoo, I think you are reading too much into that form. All i see under Bank Information is a yes or no. Basically is a check list, they are not asking for it. Another thing I noticed is that there is an e-mail line, so much for us thinking they don't use it and how its demonized.

New annual report due soon - what do you expect???
by The Scotsman inhi folks.
the annual report will be out in a month or 2 and was wondering what you think the current state of affairs for the org will be.. i am not expecting a decrease - but would love to see one.
as is normal each year a few countries will be showing a decline.. i know in a few congs near me that quite a number of pubs are going out less - a gradual slow down.

I still don't see this dwindling down of numbers on the congregations my family attends yet. So far this year they have added 2 new congregations and going for a 3rd one. New halls coming up all the time around where my uncle is.

Letter to my sister , very very very very very long !!!!!!!, but worth it !
by Armageddon inofficials say one of the parents -- marbely or denis meza -- killed the children.
denis meza was arrested july 16 on charges of sexually abusing his very own daughter and was ordered to have no contact with her after he moved out of the home in may.
"i try not think too much about what happened in marbely's house before it was set on fire," she said.

Not trying to be mean but I don't think your sister will read through all of that. Heck I didn't even read it all, just skimmed through a couple of paragraphs.

I Snapped at a Witless Today
by Gretchen956 inyou know i'm not usually the type to do this, i really didn't even think i had it in me.
i was waiting for the bus, it was time for it to pull up, i was chatting with a co-worker and standing right in the middle of a whole bunch of other people, and here come two men in suits with briefcases, one looked to be in his 20s and one older, maybe late 30s or early 40s.
the younger one tries to hand me the magazines, the new way, by shoving them in your hand.

Why is everyone saying Good Job, when all that was done was a negative comment something that they might not even be involved in or know personally of. I would've given more than a smirk back. Then ironically you mention that one day you would like to talk to one of these people as long as they are not pushy or smug, well in this case you were the one who came out being pushy and smug.

But surely MP3's are the devils devices??
Not in today's congregations, everyone has an MP3 player available. Even the last assembly I attended I saw many acutally with their phones in their ears listening to their Ipods while the assembly was in session. Most don't really care what is said, most just show up due to routine.
