  My wife is getting baptized on the 19th!

  my wife is getting baptized on the 19th.. i wrote her a letter today.

  basically i asked her why she isn't coming to me to find out my concerns.

  i am the person who has the most invested in her.

  However, you do have the upper hand in the fact that you're 'the man' and, therefore, head of the household. At your request, she has to decorate, cook and be present at the holiday gatherings. I know it because we've been instructed from the platform of situations when the woman is a JW but now the husband. She's under your command per say, of course that's if you know how to play the game. In many JW households, even when she's not supposed to, the woman totally rules.

  Mine ex went with me to the initial visit with a mental health therapist ( definition: my deprogrammers). You should see the things they wrote about her baaad attitude towards the 'head of the household.'

  You are in for a whole new life that is going to to rock your world like it has never been rocked. You have my sincere sympathy.

  1) why does the wts insist on claiming that elders are appointed under holy spirit, when it's been proven that they have been guilty of so-called unchristian behaviors?

  2) can you prove that they are appointed by holy spirit?.

  thats what the church taught me for 17 years. so if its not true, what is true? what happens to people who arent born again?

  Jesus Christ is the saviour of all who exercise faith in him not the WTBTS.

  The Kingdom relates to Jesus and his love for mankind, his loving rulership over mankind since he ascended to heaven. By means of Him he has done away with evil and sadness and death in Paradise.

  And... Before they actually start ruling they'll joing Christ in destroing 99% of mankind in the battle of Armageddon. Including born again christians.

  and according to born agains, they will be raptured off the earth, before god annihilates the rest of civilization. and anyone who has ever died so far, is either in heaven (if they were born again) or hell (a place of everlasting torture). and the earth - will be left empty. even though scriptures dont back this. so apart from born agains, the rest of civilization is going to a place of everlasting torment.

  Who told you this? Had to be WTBTS and the Governing Body that came up with this off the wall propaganda about real christians. BTW, you are one deluded person if you think for a minute the JW's are christian. Go to the memorial and watch them all deny Christ as a group when the crackers and kool aid head down their aisle.

  Well, it sure ain't the form of 'good news' the Governing Body of Jehoavah's Witnesses is spewing out of their expressions like frogs coming out of their mouths.

  It is the Good News about Jesus. Someone the dubs only claim to know. since their worship and adulation is to the WTBTS and those demons on the GB.

  good things happen all the time to my friends on this site and we never hear about them.

  Giving freely without guilt tripping from a Service Meeting talk about some young JW in a poor country who slaughtered and sold his pet chicken for a dollar and sent it to the WTBTS to Cystic Fibrosis, MDA, Baptist Missionaries, my church, Easter Seal. Aaaaah.... Christian Freedom is so good.

  it's been a while since the society has been specific about what kind of music to avoid hasn't it?.

  the last i remember was when the said to stay away from rap and heavy metal.

  Who cares anymore since they ban so many things.

  Maybe I'll send a complimentary cd to Crooklyn Bethel with a mix such as:

  Nelly, Third Day, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Toby Mac with DC Talk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joe Walsh, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, etc. with a few subliminal 'get out before it's too late' verses thrown in for good measure.
