You don't have to believe that the Trinity is a biblical concept to get saved.
I didn't believe it when I got saved.
i was listening to the radio, a religous show.. the speaker started talking about how the holy spirit is the third person of the godhead.. they just assume that everyone understands what a godhead is, and it is a manmade term.
that is what makes their point of view so ridiculous.. is it like a godfoot, godear, god elbow?.
they have their scriptures to link the holy spirit with the trinity, and jws have their scriptures to unlink it, and never they two shall meet.. .

a few years ago, my in-laws got scammed by one of the reverse pension plan schemes that flourished at the time.
i found both the process of them getting scammed and the technique used by the scammers really interesting, and i'm sure you'll recognize the general deal:.
it began with a person they trusted saying he had found a great deal that seemed very promising: a small investment now would turn into a large reward in a short while, when the particulars had been straightened out.
It sounds just like another scam that I have a lot of experience with involving magazines.
so, i'm sitting there in the kingdom hall.
the watchtower study is what's going on.
lots of re-hashing the paragraph that we just read, so lots of time for my mind to wander.
A brother has made the comment that Jehovah's modern-day organization is the only way that people are ever going to find everlasting life. I can't believe my ears. And not so much as a flinch crosses the WT conductor's face. Not a ripple.
Until I woke up, I used to be just like the Watchtower Study conductor when I heard such comments.
I would even bob my head up and down in agreement as I commented that Jerhovah knew what He was doing when he appointed the faithful and discreet slave to watch over His people.
i'm in a pissy mood and would love to hear your stories.
personally, i'm thinking of getting a tatoo on my rear end saying wbt$ kiss this!.

Gave the Watchtower god my middle finger.
The prosecution couldn't provide enough evidence to convict him.

needless to say, banging on again about education and also creation/evolution.
can they not think of anything original?.
What a load of drivel.
It's no wonder that more people are going out the kingdom hall's back door than are going in through the front door.
Those clowns in Brooklyn are doing JW's a favor by printing that crap.
"jws leaders need to mandate elder bodies to uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction; prohibit elders from being involved in any investigative process to decide guilt or innocence in place of the authorities; do away with the two-witness rule to determine, as if they were magistrates, guilt or innocence of someone accused; prohibit so-called repentant molesters from engaging in the door-to-door ministry, and always inform the congregation if a convicted or confessed molester is meeting with them.

this is another reason why the watchtower society doesn't require that the elders uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction.
Prime is one of the JW PR reps from the TOPIX JW forum.
Of course, the 'Prime' here is not to be confused with the topix poster called 'Prime.'
Right.
I forget what online handle she is currently using on TOPIX.
well, i have been studying jws religion ,my cousin is a jw and i have visited him a lot of times.i have watched his way of living and things like that.i have been at the district convention last week.i read so many things from both sides.i came to the conclusion that if someone believes god exists then it is so easy and he should be a jehovah's witness.sadly its true and that is why so many people are and every year they baptised even more.. stories about jws reducing?wrong.. facing problems?
false.. everybody in the convention had an ipad ,iphones etc with the bible in it.
+ wifi .
spirituk, why don't you become a Jehovah's Witness just for the social aspect of it?
You will enjoy a wide variety of friendships and probably will be invited to many JW social functions, commonly called "Get Togethers" and you will be bombarded with even more invitations if you are a single male.
If you do join the group, come back in 20 years and let us know how it is working out for you.
Personally...
You really don't want to know the reality of being a JW so I will not bore you with the sordid details that would undoubtedly send you into a fit of depression from which you may never recover from.
when i was a kid, i researched the origins of the religion and realized that the witnesses were an offshoot of adventism.....we're you surprised to learn something about the witnesses that you didn't realize?.
I was surprised to learn that the majority of JW's in responsible positions (BO, DO, CO elder, ministerial servant) care more about the Watchtower Society's image than they do about truth, morals, honesty and spiritual values.

Most of us ignore him over there because of posts similar to her "open letter" to Bill Bowen and Barb Anderson.
The majority of former JW's on TOPIX consider her to be a fruitcake who is 2 french fries short of a McDonald's Happy Meal.
