excellent material can be found within the reasoning book, page 328, para.2, 3. occasionally, i see posters make presumptuous comments like, "all you need is the bible", or, "i'm born-again, so there's no need for spiritual assistance from another christian", or,"i'm saved", or my favorite, "jesus talks to me directly.

" on one hand, i can't be overly critical of such ones because they do attempt to read and understand the bible on their own.

(acts 17:11) not to mention they're generally peaceable folks, just self-misguided when erroneously believing that they can go it alone.

A real difficult congregation???

myself and my family have had some odd experiences in our current congregation.

i have'nt been to meetings since september because of this.. 1. the co told the elder who was studying with my husband that he was doing it as an "academic exercise.

" my husband is very intelligent, been in the military, has a degree and a masters and a good job.

You have been away from the meetings since September.

Give it another 4 months and you will never want to go back.

a little background, i faded in 2007 and have been out ever since.

i started studying at 18 and have no jw realitives.

i'm returing because my life is heading in the wrong direction.

I can't imagine sitting through ONE meeting at a kingdom hall after knowing what I know now.

in fact barely a day goes by without my fix.. .

it is a site of contradictions.. .

At least you can tell the board to F*&% off, leave and then come back in a few months and most will not shun you for 6 months to a year.

And... you can agree or disagree with folks here without having to worry about getting hauled before some dumbass window washers and janitors who will decide if you are worthy of eternal life or not.

hubby is now giving 5 days a week to the cult.

they see more of him while he is awake than i do.

when he is home he is either sleeping or in his office on his computer.

Wife and kids are officially OUT!!

my wife has told her jw best friend and jw sister that she is givng up the religion!!

and there was i worrying about losing her when i left the cult.

and, to top it all, my 15 and 13 year old children are using their critical thinking skills and can see it all for what it is.
